[OOMs: Night One, in which Loki plays bingo and Weyland decides to stay for a while (which is a euphemistic way of saying the story's nothing but sex and drugs), followed immediately by Loki's School for Wayward Girls, lesson one: gender and strength (no warnings there, much to Skaði's disappointment), and immediately following that: action is go]

But Pyrrha doesn't know about any of that, and she's the shape in which Loki comes down to the bar tonight. She's more subdued than usual, but you wouldn't know it to look at her--between her ridiculous boots and the crimped-and-teased-and-AquaNetted big-goth-hair she's got going on, she hits just over seven feet tall today, and that's not counting the feathers she's got stuck in her hair (that admittedly look a bit like a bird lost a fight with her hair, but she's okay with that). She's also got her usual tiny shorts, a faded Love & Rockets shirt (band not comic) and a small backpack she'd made to look like a cartoonish cute stuffed zombie doll (the zipper's in its neck).

Anyway, she does her drunken-marionette-runway-stomp up to the bar, to order herself a cherry coke slushie (with an umbrella) and a chicken sandwich with fries. She's very hungry for some reason.

Botherable.

"Good," Teja says.

Creative chaos. It happens: - his table is covered in notes and drawings as well, and cat toys live in all the corners.

It doesn't help that her creative process is particularly chaotic, what with her punctuated existence, and also Loki's influence.

"I got things I'm taking apart and things I'm putting together, things piled up half-finished that I just need to get back to and things piled up until I get inspired again. I think maybe I need more shelves, or something."

"That is easy," Teja says. "You might wish to use a system of shelves and boxes like the one I have here over my work-bench."

She nods, glancing toward the shelves.

"I think the problem is, my room wasn't really intended to be a workroom. It's just not set up that way. There's a desk, and a little bookshelf that already had some books on it, and a dresser and a nightstand and a closet and that's it. I don't have a lot of clothes and most of what I do have doesn't take up much space, so half the dresser's full of fabric and yarn and things, but even so stuff gets everywhere."

"I am sure the rats or the loompas can put up shelves for you very quickly," Teja says. "I think it's the loompa's duty, indeed, but I might be wrong."

"...yeah, but then there'd be people coming through the room and Fina's really..."

She shakes her head.

"I'll figure something out."

"Through the room?" Teja asks.

"Yeah, they... they'd have to go through the living room to get to my room. And if people come in, it has to be while she's not there and even then she doesn't like it."

"Well, she should not mind me," Teja says.

Having met her. And the one behind them all.

Also she's gotten much more relaxed in the aftermath of her little adventure with Weyland, which makes both Pyrrha and Loki himself happier. She doesn't have quite as much need to control everything around her.

"I hope not," she says. "I'd recommend coming over during the day though, just to be safe."

"The day is not so different from the night, as it is," Teja says. "Nothing is confined to night-time, unless they be some sorts of blood-drinkers."

Which are not likely to be Fina's company.

"She, uh..."

A pause, as she tries to decide how much to say.

"Has a lot of gentleman callers. I don't know if they drink blood, that's not what they're there for."

"Yes, I do think she has other gifts to offer," Teja says.

Oh, Loki...

"I don't judge," she says. "I mean, it pays the bills. She doesn't charge me any rent or anything. But she wants me to make it look like nobody actually lives there, like it's an office or something, and that gets awkward."

"Why does she not give you your own room, one with independent access from the corridors?" Teja says.

"Because then she wouldn't have control," she says with a shrug. "She needs control. It's why she gives me so many stupid rules about how she wants things cleaned--she's not even there half the time, so as long as I clean things up what should it matter if I sometimes cook up there? It's not like all-curry, all-the-time or anything."

"She is a lady of moods," Teja says, "acting like a spoiled princess, it seems. Like Mataswintha. But it becomes her."

"I'm not like that," she says. "I just want you to know that. I'd never treat people the way she does--and I mean sure, maybe they like it, but I could never. I don't care about control, though."

In case he was thinking it was some modern-woman thing.

"Indeed, I would not think you are," Teja says.

Loki had chosen them to be different, after all.

"We're pretty much opposites," she says. "I just clean and stay out of her way as much as I can. And if she tells me to do something, I do it."

Teja nods.

If they were not opposites, then they would not be interesting enough as two different female avatars of Loki, he would assume.

"...I should probably go start cleaning," she says quietly. "It's gonna take a while, I know it. And that's on top of cleaning the rest of the place."

If she needs to clean, she needs to clean. Also, Loki probably wishes to bring out another avatar.

"I shall see you soon, then," Teja says.

"Everything's... everything's okay, right?" she asks, more quietly, and a little nervously.

Hey, she's already given her feelings on needing reassurance now and then, and she has told him things she hasn't told anybody else. It's normal to be a little insecure.

Teja reaches out to touch her hand, and presses it briefly.

"Everything is very much all right," he reassures her.

Very strange, at times, but all right, oddly enough.
