The space where the door is turns, briefly, to a wall of stone. A second later, Gohan smashes backwards straight through the rock, right across the room, and stops only when he hits the wall on the other side of the bar and ends up in a battered heap on the floor.

Man, that Captain Ginyu is good. He wipes the blood off his mouth and holds his ribs just for a moment. That huuuuuurt.

"...are you okay?" asks the pointy-eared dude at a nearby table. Who's just. Staring.

"M'fine." Gohan says, before falling flat on his face.

Give him a moment...

Nah. Link's gonna shuffle over to Gohan and turn him face-up. And give him a little shake. "Hey!" ~~Listen!~~

Gohan opens his eyes again. Everything is very sore.

He tries to get back on his feet again, but fails. He needs to get back out there and defend the planet, dammet!

Ah, crud.

He scoops down, picking the boy up underneath his arms. "I'm gonna take you to the Infirmary," he says, groaning.

Gohan is surprisingly light. He groans slightly as he's picked up, but doesn't resist.

"Sorry to be so much trouble." he whimpers. "There's an infirmary?"

"Yeah...b-but..."

He just remembered something. And that something would be: "...I don't know where it is."

So he's just hauling an injured kid to...somewhere???

"Is there a sign?" Gohan asks. "Or a door?"

"I...think... Maybe that's it over there?"

Indicating the very obvious entrance to the Infirmary that he doesn't know is the Infirmary because he can't read the roman alphabet.

"You can just put me on a sofa if you can't find it." Gohan says.

"Are you sure?"

He might have an injury that only a doctor can spot!

Hm, he's not quite sure.

Nope, it's to the Infirmary with you, young man! But-- "I'll set you down by a table and see where, exactly, the Infirmary is. Alright?"

"Thanks." Gohan says.

He winces when he's put down, but he has to admit Link is probably right. He could sure use a senzu bean right around now.

The infirmary is situated behind that door, there.

Once Link's found it, and once he's peered inside to make absolutely certain that that's the infirmary, he jogs back over to Gohan and offers an arm to lift him up.

"Yeah, that's the infirmary. C'mon."

Gohan winces as he gets up, but tries to do so with a brave face.

"I'm sorry to be so much trouble."

"It's no trouble. It's not that far to the Infirmary, anyway."

"Are they used to people not entirely human?" Gohan asks.

He laughs a bit. "Here? I'd bet on it."

He leans on Link just a little.

In the infirmary, Guppy is doing the important task of working out how to change the filter on the coffee maker.

"Ah, ex-excuse me?" he calls out to The One Who Would Change the Filter. "Are you a doctor?"

Guppy looks up.

"Hi, yes, I'm Guppy, how can I help?"

One of the infirmary waitrats pokes the coffee filter into the right place while he isn't looking.

"This boy is really hurt... Can you help him?"

Guppy crouches in front of Gohan.

"What's your name and what happened?" he asks.

"I'm Gohan." Gohan says. "I got pushed through about six feet of solid rock."

Which gets Guppy to raise his eyebrows a bit, because Gohan only looks about six.

"H-he said he might not be human?"

"Have you got any senzu beans? They'd heal me up completely." Gohan says.

"... I'll have a look. Would you help him onto that bed please?" Guppy asks Link.

That he does, and with considerable easy for someone who appears to be a bit tiny.

"Thanks Link, I owe you one."

Gohan curls up a little bit, because his tummy is still sore.

Guppy in the meantime is going through the Alien Medications Cupboard to see if they have any senzu beans. He finds a wrinkly looking green bean in a box.

"There's only one." he says.

"Oh." Gohan looks worried. "It'd work but we usually plant the last one."

A concerned-looking blue woman leans down over him. "Are you all right? Try not to move - you may have a serious head or neck injury." Frankly, it's a miracle that he's still alive and conscious after his rather violent entrance.

"Ow." Gohan says quietly.

"'m okay." he adds, which is probably a lie, looking at him.

"That remains to be seen," Zhaan says gently. "How many fingers am I holding up?" (The correct answer is three.)

Gohan squints at them just a moment.

"Three, but they look sort of blue."

"It's all right. They're supposed to. Do you know where you are?" Zhaan's seen Gohan around Milliways before - although this is their first actual encounter - so if all his faculties are intact, he should be able to recognize his surroundings.

Everything's a little bit blurry at the moment.

"Namek?" he guesses.

"No, I'm afraid not," Zhaan says. She touches two fingers to Gohan's temple: her eyes roll back in her head, showing only the whites. This may be somewhat alarming, but it's brief, lasting no more than a couple of seconds. Once her eyes return to normal, she says, "You have a mild concussion." She rubs absentmindedly at her left arm, near the shoulder. "You've also broken your left humerus and multiple ribs." Fortunately his lungs are intact, as well as his skull. "We need to get you to the infirmary. I can carry you, but I need to stabilize your head and neck with a brace first." His brain doesn't need any more bouncing around.

In those couple of seconds, Gohan flinches and glows very slightly.

"I don't know who you are." he says, trying to inch away.

"I'm a doctor," Zhaan says. "I apologize for startling you. But please stay still - you're badly injured, and moving may make it worse." She doesn't attempt to physically restrain Gohan, though. That would probably be counterproductive.

Gohan stays still.

"Saiyans heal fast and can take a lot of damage."

"That explains how you survived being thrown through a rock wall," Zhaan says, noting that Gohan seems a bit more coherent than before. "How fast will your bones heal on their own?"

"I was in hospital a week last time." Gohan says. "Daddy was there longer."

He watches her carefully.

"If we have a senzu bean we heal up right away."

The name rings a bell. "Senzu bean...I believe we have one in the infirmary." Since Zhaan didn't know what it was for, she put it in a locked drawer with several other similarly mysterious items.

"If you only have one... you should plant it." Gohan says.

Zhaan nods. "All right. In that case, will you allow me to take you to the infirmary for treatment?"

"Okay." Gohan says.

He's not sure he could defend himself if she turned out to be hostile, but she'd probably have killed him by now if she was one of the Ginyu Force's allies.

"All right. As I mentioned, I'll need a brace for your neck first - to avoid aggravating your head injury - but we can take it off once we get there. I'll be back shortly." Zhaan decides to go to the Bar, rather than the infirmary, for a child-sized neck brace. She puts this on Gohan (carefully) and then lifts him (again carefully, trying as much as possible to avoid putting pressure on his injured side) and carries him to the infirmary.
