[OOM: The return of a legend and an old friend make for a very confused 84.]

Julie sits at a table today, half-heartedly sipping at a choco-berry blast and spinning a soccer ball while wondering why grownups always make things so complicated.

While outside, there is a green polar bear dog tearing it up around the lake. BB likes this new form he does.

A white polar bear-dog soon starts running towards BB, ears pointed forward, tail wagging furiously behind her.

BB's head lifts at the sound of the running polar bear-dog and he barks(?) a greeting before running away in a clear catch me if you can.

Naga barks back at him, and barrels forward at full pelt.

BB looks over his shoulder to see if Naga is chases and his eyes widen in surprise and he pours on the speed. A yelp might have escaped.

Naga barks cheerfully at him and continues to run, huge bear paws slamming the ground as her slender back feet propel her forward.

Ahead of them, at the other end of the lake, the Avatar stands with her hands on her hips and a huge grin on her face.

BB tries for some zig-zagging to see how the polar bear-dog handles as they get closer to the shore. Spotting that Korra chick, he heads her way with a wicked idea of a polar bear-sized canon ball. Too bad he has never encountered water bending before or he might rethink this. Nah, he'd still try it.

[OOC-And I need to beg slow until tomorrow. Also do we want to fade on their first thread in favor of this one?]

Korra don't need no waterbending! She watches Naga and the green polar bear-dog racing towards her, and she considers her options for a second.

Then she grins, and starts running forward to meet him.

BB is now suspicious but that doesn't mean he's going to give up on his planned prank. If he can just get to the water's edge in time.

How does BB feel about Korra coming right up to him, grabbing a handful of green hair, and swinging herself on to his neck?

Oh BB's loving it as that means she's perfectly set for the plunge. Do polar bear-dogs chuckle evilly?

[OOC-And I'm going to have to beg slows until tomorrow as my body is feeling ick.]

Apparently they can!

Korra hunkers down over his head and gets comfortable between his ears on the approach. As he leaps, she holds her hands out in front of her, and on the downward arc, a column of water thunders up to meet them.

Do polar bear-dogs also squeal like little girls when they are surprised by fountains of water? Cause this one sure did right before shifting into a more familiar, water friendly shape, in this case a Labrador since he was kind of halfway there already.

Once he makes it back to the surface however he shifts again to his monkey-boy self and says, "What the heck was that?!?!?"

Two things happen as he does that. One is that Korra lets go of his neck as soon as his body starts to change, dives into the fountain of water that continues to swirl around her, disappears under the surface of the lake for a while and then reappears with a huge grin.

The other is that Naga, who has been chasing, dives into the lake beside them with a huge splash of her own.

"Hi!"

"Hey Julie."

Speaking of complicated, Tyler's coming over with a tray of snack foods and his own berry-lime smoothie.

"Y'got something on your mind?"

"Hey Tyler," she says perking up a bit. "I'm worried about Ron. Have you have the soccer game yet?"

[OOC-Feeling under the weather so I may not tag much.]

[OOC: no worries, take care of y'self]

"Yeah, I was there in the stands, up until Moon Shadow showed up and told me to go someplace safer. S'okay if I sit with you?"

"Of course. Did you hear about Ron then? About his parents I mean."

"Yeah, about their seperating...and about how Ron thinks he's the cause of it."

She sits and stares at her choco-berry blast for a few seconds before asking, "Why do grown up make things so hard? I mean first yours, now Ron's; why do they make life hard for us?"

She doesn't say anything about her own dad in that question but she's wondering it.

That's a startling comment from Julie, for a moment Tyler just looks surprised before speaking quietly, looking into his own smoothie a moment. He didn't know she noticed or really cared about how his parents treated him.

"...they don't mean to, I think they're scared and they forget to think."

"But how come Ron wanting to go to that school didn't make them pay attention?" She retorts still confused and upset. "I mean, I know I cost my dad a lot of money so I can see why he's the way he is but you guys are great! It's just not fair!"

"Julie, his mom had to have paid some attention, they need permissions and forms in order for Ron to switch schools." tyler says putting up his hands.

Wait, he stops going back to that bit about her dad and the money.

"...wait, what about your dad and the money?"

Heard that didn't he?

"Oh," she says, embarrassed now. "My old costume cost a lot of money and before I really learned to use my powers, I broke a lot of things. I didn't mean to! But it's hard to think about how much fixing a car costs when you are stopping it from hitting a family of ducks.""

Julie would really be surprised at just how much Tyler hears.

"Yeah...I mean, I never realized how notebooks were until Toby started living with me...I guess that's something totally different...but you think your dad is mad at you?"

"I don't know if he's mad exactly but I know I make things hard for him. You remember the BBQ with Suzie family right? Speaking of how are you feeling? No more virus right?"

Her donation of white blood cells is still pretty fresh in her mind.

[basic_powers]

"No more virus, been tired." He remembers the BBQ, as brief and weird an experience as that was. "I remember those imps egging your Dad and Suzi's on in their arguments..."

"...your dad was angry about all of the attention and government grants, right?"

"Yeah. I think he's jealous of his brother but I'm not sure. I'm glad you're not sick anymore."

"He probably is, but he won't admit it. I'm glad about that too, being in statis was weird."
