There has been a great reddish-brown bull among the beasts that graze behind Milliways of late, and there is one yet there today. Thalestris, who brought him here by accident, has been debating how best to see him safely returned. The bulls of Crete are generally caught by using cows as bait, and then closely kept for safety's sake; but here there is not much chance of the first, and so the second has been very difficult. Still, she's tried.
Today, though, the bull's looking satisfied and lazy, rather than brisk and alert. And it might just be, she thinks as she watches him over the paddock fence, that he might be brought to heel if he were worn down a bit. Perhaps she can draw his attention enough to make another try or two at the leap, even with him running around free, and her the only one here. Or not, in which case there would be trouble indeed. But still...
She's still outside, having clambered up onto the paddock fence in her bull-dancer's getup and a shift to keep off the cold, looking very speculative. It might be that she would explain this to the curious, were she asked.
