After speaking with Orpheus in the infirmary, Demeter ordered a bottle of Nemean wine and swirls the wine in its glass. She doesn't like what's happened and while Milliways changes many things, Orpheus is of her family and Teja overstepped his bounds.

Now is not the time or the place for her to act and she knows that though its difficult. Her family has ever been good at acting as opposed to thinking, Orpheus learned that from them as well as how powerful the proper evocation can be.

Tonight she will drink and learn more of what transpired, from her Teja might receive a warning because Orpheus is Apollo's.

Around her the air smells of summer ripeness and the heavy waiting before a storm breaks, she is trying to control that storm.

"Greetings, Demeter," Teja says, coming in once more from the forge.

He has had much work there of late, in addition to all that happened. But he has always the time of day to spare for a friend!

"Teja, you seem to have been busy since we last spoke channeling your energy into your Security work,"

Her voice is quiet and tired, she dislikes conflict, because it never ends without pain.

"And weary of it," Teja confesses, with a sigh. "But standing up against those more powerful than oneself is never easy, but must be ever done."

He looks at her.

"Seeing that you know of my work of late, I assume you have spoken to Orpheus, who found his freedom curtailed by me, as he would have it? All have a right to their freedom, but sometimes somebody using their freedom would cause harm or less freedom to come to other people. There's no one right answer for every situation -- to put it as Loki did, or rather, that of his incarnations that I am closest with."

Pyrrha putting it in a nutshell like that had been truly helpful.

"There is no right answer, and among all those not-right ones I had to pick. Pick I did, and I am standing by it."

"Teja, his first interaction with you was you accusing him of taking advantage of someone for his own wants. And it seems that you didn't even get the story properly because according to him nothing was taken without consent. Do you understand what that accusation means to someone who knows and is of our family? He is not Zeus and you treated him as if he were Zeus or Eros to play with people's emotions. For the not-right answer, you seem quite sure of yourself and happy to tell someone you don't know how they should act. Did the person who was hurt ask you to act?"

The Huntsman's had a long day. A long week, in fact. He trudges up to the bar and orders a large pitcher of ale, carrying it and a bowl of stew to a booth before flopping down.

Tired Eric is tired.

She watches him gob by and smiles, that look is familiar to her, a man who's had a long day. As he orders, she nods to him, there's a handsome man beneath the dirt.

He nods back, politely. There's something about her that suggests politeness is a good idea. His booth is not far from where she sits - near enough to be within hearing distance. He drinks deeply, letting out a sigh as he tilts his head back against the padded bench. His hair is greasy, face marked with smut from the fire in the forge, and a few days worth of sleeping in the woods.

There's probably a slightly ripe odour to him, too.

Demeter considers farmers her own, the odor isn't bad and she turns to him, "Long day of work?"

"Auntie."
Apollo's chilling by the fire... with a very familiar guitar that he doesn't usually have. (As though he's going to let it out of his sight until Orpheus can reclaim it.)

She brings the bottle over and sits beside him,

"Apollo, I spoke to Orpheus and will do no more than speak to Teja and remind him that he is not Justice. I've known he could be unfair but not like this."

"Probably better that you handle this one. I don't know the guy and... at the moment, have no reason to give him the benefit of the doubt."
Really now. Orpheus plays music, music gives someone all the feels, security butts in? The entire point of music is that it gives you all the feels.

"I don't know how much he deserves it. He's always been good at seeing the world through the lens of his own perceptions. I have seen some of them change, but this doesn't seem right."

A bird, who is not a bird, comes and perches on the rim of her glass.

Demeter smiles and offers her hand, "Is this your punishment?"

He trills in agreement, making a quick hop over to her hand.

He's got to hand it to Belar. He did this transformation thing quite well. Orpheus has had no trouble figuring out how to fly.

"You look beautiful. I've spoken to Teja and I'm impressed at your restraint."

Mars found Milliways through the forest this time and as he approached the tavern he passed by a certain place that made him pause. Strains of music hinted at his awareness and he trow back his head to breath it in.

Soon enough, he took himself to the bar for a glass of mead as he was feeling Northern this day and quickly spotted one who is familiar.

"Aunt," he says by way of greeting, "I fear I missed something spectacular."

Demeter takes a moment to stare at him,

"One who is very much yours felt that they needed to tell Orpheus to not play music. It then became rather more complicated and I'm trying to make sense of the mess."

"One that is mine would never have made such sweet music as I sensed coming in," Mars counters with an arched brow.

Atton's hanging upside down from the rafters next to her, eating ice cream.

"Did the apocalypse happen again?" He asks curiously, twisting about at the abdomen to get as good a look at the bar as he can. "Seems apocalypsey. I remember the one with the clock. People were grumpy. Ray Stantz got eaten by a giant crow."

That last bit isn't true.

She looks up and stares at him,

"No, just people presuming too much, people getting hurt and Security being involved."

Atton's not sure what to make of that.

"Are there any giant crows on security?" He's just looking out for Ray's safety, okay.

Pause. Thoughtful chewing. "What happened, then? I know the demon rabbits were a bit shaken up, and that the number of bears per capita has shot up, and that everyone seems like they want to kill each other. It's very confusing."

Scorpius has no idea what's been happening about Milliways lately, being as he's only had a chance to sneak away to it just now.

He sets his books on the counter near Demeter, completely in his own world, and catches the very edge of her stormy mood. He shivers in response. He's got goose-pimples now.

It makes him frown and glance around and -



" - Oh, uhm. Hullo, Demeter."

She sees him and smiles, her mood lightening, "Hello, Scorpius. How are you doing?"

"Fine, thanks. Just, er - Taking a break from school.

"I have a free hour," Scorpius adds, not wanting anyone to think he's been skiving off classes when he hasn't.

He's been very good about that this year.

"Are you - How're you?"
