Looks like Steve was right about him being able to find the end-of-the-universe bar once he'd been shown the way.
Although he hadn't exactly been trying, Bucky's rather satisfied with that right now, all told. It's not that he doesn't like hanging out with the rest of the Commandos, it's just that sometimes when they really get going, it's nice to have the option to do a quick fade.
Besides, he's not had the chance to give the rest of the place a full look-see yet. Once he gets a drink, maybe he'll do just that.
[OOC: Slowtime in effect as of midnight Mountain time. I'll tag up again tomorrow. Love to you all!]

"Look who's here!" He claps Bucky on the shoulder.

"Hey, yourself. What've you been up to, running circles around that lake out back?"
no subject
He drinks a gulp before he answers, and then shakes his head.
"There's a gym down that hallway." He points. "Good assortment of equipment, too."

"Hello."
That is polite, surely.
no subject
"Hello. It's X, right?"
no subject
And, a half-second later --
"You are Bucky. I remember."
There are reasons she would not possibly forget.

She twirls a bit of fuzz on a passing waitrat and smiles. "Can you bring me something extra sparkly this time? Thank you!"
no subject
... it's going to be a second before he looks away.
"Well, hello."
no subject
"And hello to you, too," she tips her head at his clothing, "soldier?"

At the counter, she orders a cup of tea, which is accompanied by the latest Gazette. She is just starting to read it and doing her best to not look at the legal matters.

Somewhere in the tab list, the name 'Mr. Anger' goes up.
no subject
(It's not that he's on edge or anything, he'd argue; it's just that he's gotten used to staying alert. It helps.)
Bucky nods to the other man.
"Evening."
no subject
"Evening, Sergeant. Long day?"

"No, you don't understand. This training session has gone on for three days. The sandwich has to be at least the size of my head." He gestures expansively. The bar apparently agrees, because a very large sandwich appears.
"Awesome," Duo says, sitting down to tuck in.
no subject
"Because otherwise you might want two of those."
no subject
Duo glances at him, curious. "How 'bout you? Need a sandwich?" He sort of looks like he needs a sandwich.

"Miss Bar," he
declaimsgreets. It's not that Thor is loud, at the moment, but he's attention-getting; everything in his posture and the timbre of his voice is calibrated to take up space and announce his presence, from old habit and training as much as personality. (Though it's personality too.) "I would have pancakes and your Irish coffee."He pronounces all these words with the slight care of someone using foreign terminology.
no subject
Bucky looks him over.
"Not a bad choice. Although I don't usually hear those two ordered together."
no subject
It's a mental note he may well continue to ignore as he likes, of course, but he's still making it.
"They are both delicious," he adds. THOR ODINSON STAMP OF APPROVAL.
As further evidence of this, he takes a large swig of coffee. Either it's not all that Irish, or he's not particularly concerned by the alcohol content. (The latter.)

"Hey, there."
No scolding napkins pop up. Lilly brightens.
"Can I get something to drink? With booze in?"
no subject
The man sitting a couple of stools over has what looks like a half-finished beer, a cheerful grin, and a sergeant's stripes on his sleeve.
