So…this happened.
And three days later there's a fully grown, fully dressed musician in the trilobite tank.
He pulls himself out, sputtering a bit and grumbling audibly but indistinctly under his breath as he drips his sodden way to the bar.
“Please tell me she left it with you.”
His hand snatches out to grab the guitar the second it appears, and a certain amount of tension drains from his shoulders as he does.
“Thank you.”
A beat, and then.
"Can I get a towel?"

However, this might have been foul play.
So he wanders over, loath as he is to speak with Orpheus as a rule.
"Greetings," he says. "Why were you that creature that graced the tank for the last few days?"

He glances over at the Goth as he wipes his face with the towel he was given.
"I needed a vacation."

That is all he wants to know. He's grown wary about magic applied to patrons against their will, by other patrons.

He's not about to rat out Aphrodite. That's just asking for trouble.

Like the one that changed Charles Xavier -- he had no complaint, either.

He liked Orpheus much better as a sea cucumber.
"And with that, I leave you to it," he adds, nods politely, and walks away.

And just as suddenly, Eric is there as well.
"Why are you wet?"

"You ought to drink something warm."

He laughs a bit at the suggestion. "Should I? You're probably right."

Not mulled wine. Mead is stronger and, in Eric's opinion, it tastes better too. All spicy and sweet from the honey.

The mead arrives in a ceramic mug, steaming.

Or onto the ground.

Apollo hasn't complained, at least. Or Demeter.
Or Aphrodite for that matter. Not about his offerings.
no subject
And his own offerings fall where they may. Or spatters more like.
no subject
And he has always, always been pious.

[ooc: Bedtime for me. :)]

It smells like the kind he used to like. Sweet, warming, and potent.

"The drink is excellent, of course. It always is here."
no subject
"You have been busy?"

It's not exactly subtle. On the other hand, Eric rarely tries to be, unless he can see an advantage. And what would it be here?

She's never seen him in such a vulnerable position - the effect's quite amusing.
"You can, honey, but it might cost you," she catcalls.

"I'm only going to say this once, so listen carefully, though I know you have trouble with that. Today is not a day to get on my last nerve, and I've no desire for either of us to go through the trouble it would cause if you do. So if you value either your sanity or mine, I suggest you walk away now."
no subject
"You know," she declares, "I never did mean you harm."
And she does turn to walk away.

Repeatedly.
That she can't see that only strengthens this opinion of her.

But maybe they'll make music together one day.
Maybe...
