Momiji has brought his school books to the bar, intending to do some studying. It had crossed his mind to just stay away till all the scariness had passed over, but something kept the kid coming. Hence: the school books. Maybe if he could focus enough on this Algebra, it would feel more like normal.
For a while it even works! The math is complex enough to get him focused on getting it right. Momiji yawns, and puts his head down on his arms for a moment. It doesn't take long for him to fall asleep, just because the math was complex doesn't mean it wasn't boring too!
*~*~*
"Tohru!" Momiji spies his friend standing at the edge of the lake here in Milliways. The scary fog was missing, as was the opressive feeling that had lingered. The rabbits were even back! Momiji doesn't think about this sudden turn of events, and instead runs to the girl he knows so well. She turns and smiles at him, opening her arms for a hug.
Momiji jumps into her arms, and the typical change takes place. But he doesn't mind, It was always nice to hug someone, and Toru was doubly nice. For a moment he just cuddles in her arms, before looking up. "When did you get here Tohru? Why haven't I seen you before?"
"I just got here silly, isn't it nice?" Tohru is walking along the side of the lake, carrying Momiji with her.
"I'm so glad you're here! Has anyone showed you around? I can do that!" The rabbit bounces slightly in her arms, but not hard enough that she would drop him.
"That would be so fun! Could we start over there?" Tohru points at the dark building that had sprung up over night. "That looks like a lot of fun."
A chill slides down Momiji's back, but he shoves it back. Of course Tohru wouldn't know that the building was evil. Something bad is there, even though Momiji doesn't know what it is. "No.... Tohru, I'll introduce you to the bar. She's really nice, especially to kids like us. Sometimes she'll play tricks and they're always really funny. It's weird to think that a bar could play tricks, but she does."
But Tohru doesn't change her pace. She's now walking directly towards the dark building, and Momiji is carried that way. "But I really want to see this building, common Momiji, you aren't scared are you?"
"What's wrong with being scared? That building is bad!" Momiji starts to squirm, she isn't letting him go! "Tohru, let me go! I don't want to go there!"
Her arms tighten around the rabbit. "No, you have to come. It's important." Her voice isn't the nice sweet Tohru voice Momiji remembers. Something bad is happening. Tohru picks up her pace and they're almost at the door to the dark building. Her grip is so hard it almost hurts him.
"Help! You're not Tohru! Tohru wouldn't hurt me! LET ME GO!"
*~*~*
Momiji springs awake, shaking from the fear induced by the dream. He knew two things. One, Toru was NOT in the bar. Two, He did NOT want to go into that building. The boy's hair is messed up and his breathing comes fast.
Man, if that is what Algebra did in the bar, he didn't want any more of it! A wait rat is flagged down and a calming tea ordered. Slowly, Momiji starts to put his school books and papers in order, waiting for the tea to come.
*~*~*~*
Meanwhile, on the other side of the bar, a small dragon is pacing after a dream/nightmare of her own. Though most of her scales have returned to the blue color in the absence of immediate danger, a pink and red tinge remain. It just wasn't right.

He looks up at the green (interesting...) person talking to him. "Can I help you?" Momiji replies cautiously.
(ooc: squee! Alright, I'm totally on the way out the door- be back in an hour or so, so I'll tag then.)

He stops.
"Wait."
He stares. He tries to remember. It's been a few years, but...
"Momiji?"
[OOC: It's all good!]

"I don't think I know you, but you might know me. I guess there was a me here, before, but I'm not him, well, I am him but he's not me. Oh man, it's complicated. But you're right, I'm Momiji. What's your name?"
Talk about slight complexities only available for service in-bar. But this is good, because the Momiji doesn't have to think about the nightmare.

Which makes Momiji think of his dream again, which in turn, brings back a frown on his normally cheerful face.
"Are you researching it too, like Liz?"

"I told her I'd keep my eyes open and let her know if I saw anything else."

He calls over a rat and asks it to bring him a copy of Claudia's papers.
"It's one of those things where information kind of leaks between worlds," he explains while waiting. "In her world, it's an Internet meme."

Momiji gestures at one of the other chairs at the table. "Would you like to sit down?"
no subject
Weird awkward situations = forgetting to do that. He takes a seat, stretching his legs out in front of him.
"Anyway, I guess it's fun when you know it's fake. Here..." Not so much.
no subject
His voice gets a little small as he says that. "Anyway... what was it you wanted to ask?"
no subject
"Huh? Oh! Well, since I am investigating, I'm trying to check on people who've had nightmares. It's okay if you don't want to talk about it. But if there were any... important points...?"

Curiously, it never came up before.

A shiver goes down his spine as he remembers how insistent Tohru had been that they had to go into the building.

"I've been down to there. I didn't go in, but I looked in the windows. You... really don't want to."
no subject
"I don't want to, but it's like I needto. It's weird.
no subject
Please just mean in the dream.

Momiji shrugs, a bit uncomfortable about it.
"I'm not going near it if I can help it! All the rabbits are gone anyway, so that's enough to tell me it's no good."
no subject
"Yeah, well, dreams always make sense when you're in 'em."
The rat brings the papers. "Thanks. See, this is what's in there. I saw him."
no subject
"I guess no one knows why....?" His eyes are fixed on one of the pictures, and his sentence drifts off.

Enzo turns his head to see what Momiji's looking at.

He shakes off his reverie, and puts the papers down firmly. "I'm not going near that thing if I can help it."
no subject
Not much else to be said there.

Well, Momiji can lie to himself. It makes life easier. He rubs his forehead, it's all starting to give him a bit of a headache.

He forces a cheerful smile. "I guess I should finish up all this homework, you never know what's going to pop up next."
