Charles has spent the day in the library reading some old friends of books that he doesn't have in Washington DC as well as some new ones.

The time passed faster than he realized and when he orders a drink, he laughs before starting to go through the drink book. Tonight will be inspired by those he loves.

"According to Artie, that's how it works. I haven't asked either of them for more details."
There are some things she's just better off not contemplating. She only hopes it didn't feel like a hundred years.

Charles shudders and takes a long drink of his Scotch.

"She seems to be coping pretty well so far. And even though she's still playing catch-up on everything she missed, I gotta say, it's nice having another tech-minded person around the place."
Now that the periscope's fixed, they've turned their attention to the message tube. That'll save a lot of time if they can get it working right again.

"Do you work well together?"

[claudiometer]

"I think so. Even when she doesn't know why Magic Johnson's All-Star game ball is a problem. She's got a better investigative streak than I do. She works best with Myka, though."

"Do you change around partners or does everyone have their place?"

It sounds as if there's a fair amount of adaptability at the Warehouse.

"Usually Pete and Myka are the field team and me and Artie hold down the fort, but it depends on what else is going on. This time around Artie was already taking care of info for something Pete and Myka were looking into. Went on a case with Myka once because Pete was told to stay home for a while."
They can all work well together, so it works out all right. (Well, at least she's assuming HG and Artie could carry a case if they had to, but she doesn't think anyone's ready to test that if they don't have to.)

"It sounds like you make a good team. That's important."

[claudiometer]

"Yeah, especially when you have to live with these people all the time."
Not that they haven't had their rough patches. Apparently Myka was only just warming up to Pete when Claudia got there, and then there's Artie's habit of not sharing the information.
And, you know, that whole thing where she hacked into a top-secret quasi-government database and kidnapped a federal agent.

"It takes time for everyone to work together. That's something I'm currently dealing with,"

Erik and Hank have different ideas about how to approach the world, they seem to be working for now.
