Charles has spent the day in the library reading some old friends of books that he doesn't have in Washington DC as well as some new ones.

The time passed faster than he realized and when he orders a drink, he laughs before starting to go through the drink book. Tonight will be inspired by those he loves.

"Thanks. I guess." He sips it as if it were liquid gold and something he treasured above all else. He visibly shudders as it hits his tongue, "Oh man... That's good." He glances at the glass and then back to the door. He's torn between the whiskey and going back home to complete the rescue. He sighs audibly.

The guess is an odd comment and Charles takes a sip of his Scotch,

"Would you like a bottle?"

"I think that may be best. While I may have t'go back sober, I am sure as hell enjoying myself while I'm here."

He downs the rest of the glass and sets it down, grunting.

"Do you want any food to go with your drink?" He passes over the bottle and gestures to the kitchen.

"Nah. I ate right before I ended up here." A stern expression comes to comes to his face as his surface thoughts drift to Glenn and Maggie. They are his allies and he cares deeply for their well-being.
