Snowball fight -- party post!
Contrary to popular belief, there is snow in the higher mountains of Greece and Asia Minor in winter.
When Antinoos came in from sweltering Thebes tonight and found snow outside, he got himself warm clothes like a Greek hunter or Roman soldier in winter would wear, and ran right outside. He had missed snow!
Now he's out there, enjoying the snow and the cold, and acting, for once, exactly as young as he is. After a while, he finds that he can't resist the idea of surprising some poor unfortunate (he's outside, so it's no violence, right), and when a somewhat small and scruffy fellow comes outside, he gets a soft, large snowball right in the face, from a safe position twenty yards away, in the bushes.
Ned Poins, however, is well versed with ambushes, so he spots soon where the attack came from, and gathers snow to retaliate, running towards the shrubbery -- and so, the battle is joined, and soon, there is a big white-and-brown dog yelping excitedly, and a big, blond Scotsman grinning widely and waiting to decide which side to take.
However, when you come outside today, you might get caught in the crossfire; or perhaps you'd like to join the battle just for the fun of it?
[[OOC: Party post -- tag in, then splat somebody else! Have at! Open until the weekend ends. Snowball fight as per this post.]]
[[ETA: Gone to bed now -- please threadhop and have the snowball fight among yourselves! Thanks!]]

He can't do much to block the snow she throws at him because they're just haphazard handfuls that explode anywhere and everywhere, but he's still laughing anyway, trying to step out of her range.
"Yeah, why's that?"
no subject
She barely lets that sink in before
(smile as sharp as diamonds)
she turns and runs, hellbent for leather and kicking up snow all the way to the back door.
no subject
"Hey!
She's darts across the field like a hare while he lopes after her with long-legged strides, though he's unable to significantly close the gap in the snow. However, once he hits the back porch, oh, she's gonna get it. Soon after the door slams behind her, he makes it through as well, almost skidding in the wake of melted slush on the floor.
"I'm right on your ass, honey!"
Yeah, he just shouted that. He has no Inside Voice.

Soon, she's on the first landing, and as she makes the bend to take the stairs all the way to her room, she catches sight of him out of the corner of her eye.
"Lick my dust, Gavin!"
She's leaving puddles everywhere. It's a miracle her boots don't slip. She's quick as a shot, mastering the stairs and barreling down the hall, key already in hand. Though, she might use Dug's access button to get inside faster. The stretch to her room never seemed so long before.

He bounds up the stairs three at a time, hot on her heels, grabbing the doorframe to swing around and make the sharp turn down the hall.
His heavy, thudding bootsteps are right behind you, Kate!
He takes a swipe at her, reaching for her sleeve.
no subject
Just a little bit farther...
His fingers snag her sleeve, and with the slick soles of her boots, and the melting snow, and the momentum of both their bodies, there's a snap like fabric tearing as she wheels around, jerked into a 180 that lands her squarely against him. At the same time as she slaps into him, they crash into her door with a sickening thud and crack of wood. She yelps, eyes shut tight during the collision —
and then she laughs, arms caught between their bodies and back to the door, chin pressed to his breast as the laughter spills out of her.
no subject
The surprising force of the collision knocks the wind out of him along with a breathless bark of laughter, and he finds himself as one part of a sandwich, with Kate squished between him and the door. Grasping her shoulders, he takes a half-step backwards, allowing her a bit of air.
"You alright?" he chuckles, panting and exhilarated.
no subject
"Ow," she chuckles, leaning her head back against the door. "M'fine. Nothin's hurt but my pride, y'quick bastard."
The affection in her eyes is like sunlight bursting from a cloud. She's rosy-faced and resplendent, smiling with wild abandon.
no subject
A beat.
"--Actually, though, I just wanna take a hot bath with you really bad."
His grin is crooked, his windblown hair hangs in his eyes as he leans over her. As he catches his breath, it falls warm and heavy on her cheeks. Leaning in closer, he presses his lips to hers in an almost chaste kiss. And when their mouths part, he still can't help grinning.
no subject
"Well."
Her voice is a husky whisper, numb nose bumping his, leaving little paths of condensation along cold skin. She presses her palms flat against his chest, rubbing gentle circles. She knocks Dug's button with the side of her boot.
The door cracks open behind them.
"I guess y'better get on in here, an' lemme give you your present."
She tugs him through, and the door clicks shut on their laughter.
