When Princess Luna of Equestria walks up to the Bar today, she is presented with an envelope. Intrigued, she opens it and reads its contents.

...oh.

Oh dear.

She really needs to come to Milliways more often.

The Princess excuses herself, and returns in short order with an envelope of her own, along with a bottle of Cavalier sparkling wine, both of which are deposited with Bar.

Dearest Kanaya Maryam:

We thank thee for the invitation to spend the coming holiday with thee and thy friends. It is with deepest regret that We must inform thee that, due to a prior engagement, We will be unable to attend thy celebration. Please accept this token and Our sincerest apologies.

We wish thee and thine a happy Hearth's Warming and a pleasant and prosperous New Year.

With that, she settles down by the fire with her own glass of wine.

Zoey after being outside for far too long, came in the bar and spotted a rather unusual site for her as the figure seemed familair for some odd reason. A blue unicorn pony with wings stood on a nearby stool. Not wanting to look rude, she averted her gaze immediately and cleared her throat.

"Excuse me, miss." Better to assume the pony-creature could talk then couldn't in the space of Milliways. "Have we met?"

"We have, in fact," replies the alicorn. "But thou might be forgiven for not recognizing it. We were in a different shape at the time."

As soon as Zoey heard the voice, she somehow knew that was Luna. Despite that, she was inbetween laughter and embarassment at Zoey's expense. "Luna! I um... Sorry for not recognizing you at first."

"'Tis nothing to apologize for!" says Luna brightly. "We were not intending to be recognized, when We met thee last. 'Twas a test of Our illusion spells."
