The little girl who just walked into the bar doesn't look too unusual at first glance. Just a dark-haired, hazel-eyed preteen girl in a hoodie, skirt, and leggings.

But then you look again and see that her leggings are peppermint sticks, her skirt is made of chocolate shavings, and her hair is tied with a licorice whip (and covered with assorted small candies). And she doesn't quite look... human, really.

That would be because she isn't. She's a video game character, and proud of it.

She looks around the room and grins broadly. "Oh, man. Tapper's is way cooler than Ralph said it was."

"That would be because it isn't Tapper's."
the person who said that isn't wearing any candy, though she does have a bright green stripe (this week, anyway) in her hair. She's seated at a table, examining some blueprints.
(And seriously questioning her and HG's mutual wisdom in taking on this message-tube project when everyone can generally Farnsworth each other if they need something, but hey. Artie said it couldn't be done; she's not going to give up without a solid crack at proving him wrong, at least.)

"Did I get off at the wrong stop? It said 'Tapper's' at the station... hey, what'cha workin' on?"

[claudiometer]

"It might've said that, but you ended up in Milliways. The other place'll probably be there when you go back, the door tends to work like that." Claudia tends to make sure it does, but she's aware she's a rarity in being able to do that.
"I'm trying to figure out this stupid message tube system so I can fix it. Got more time to do it here than I do at home."

[unglitched]

"What's it for?"

(She means the tube system, in case that wasn't obvious.)

[claudiometer]

It wasn't clear, so Claudia answers both, just in case.
"The message tube system is to get messages from one part of a building to another. The bar... is for bar things. Eat food, meet people, hang out, that kind of thing."
(She'd throw in 'get drunk,' but she's not sure Bar would give this kid alcohol.)

[unglitched]

"So it's not something the player's s'posed to fix?"

[claudiometer]

"...What player?"
Oh, Milliways.

[death_fangirl]

"This isn't Tapper's!" declares a slightly older girl who isn't human either. "It's Milliways. Welcome to the Bar!"

Aradia is in one of her favourite spots, seated right at the aforementioned Bar near the entrance.

Gray skin. Yellow eyes. No yellow teeth, but it's still enough to make Vanellope do a double-take.

"Uh... what game are you from, exactly...?" she asks, fighting to keep her voice even.

Question Mark Face.

"Sgrub, I guess. But the game's over."

[unglitched]

"Well, duh, the game's over, you're not s'posed to go visit other people's games while the arcade's open." She rolls her eyes. "Even I know that."

[death_fangirl]

"Are you saying that you're from inside a game? Because I was talking about playing one."

[unglitched]

"Uh, yeah. Doyyyyy. Where else would I be from?"

Tappers appears to have some drinks more interesting than root beer, too. Like that one that looks like a glass full of static. It's sitting by the elbow of a purple woman working on a portable computer with three holographic screens floating above it.

The purple-skinned woman and the holograms are par for the course. The staticky drink? That's something else again. Vanellope ^glitches over to have a closer look at it.

"That doesn't look like something you're s'posed to drink," she opines.

Mouse looks at the girl, then at her cocktail. "Well, I know it looks like a serious graphics error, but it's s'posed to," she says. "It's perfectly safe to drink. If y'can hold your liquor, that is."

[unglitched]

"Like this?" Vanellope picks up the glass. "What's so special about holding liquor?"

[l33t_mouse]

"No, I mean holdin' it when you've drunk it. Instead of, say, gettin' sick so it all comes back out again."

[unglitched]

"Eww! Liquor can do that??"

(It should, perhaps, be pointed out that Vanellope's concept of liquor may be different from Mouse's.)

[says_the_booyah]

Cy overhears the kid who just came in. Why does Tapper's sound familiar?

"Um, this isn't Tapper's. It's Milliways."

[unglitched]

"Milliways?" she echoes. "Never heard of it. Is it new?"

[says_the_booyah]

"I don't think so. I think it's ancient, in fact." He bets it's been around forever, somehow. "It's just new to you."

[unglitched]

"Then how'd it get in the arcade all of a sudden? I didn't think they did that."

[says_the_booyah]

"Ummmm, this isn't an arcade. This is...somewhere else.

"Are you a sprite, like Enzo?" That would explain why she has that same sort of not quite real look his. Only she looks a lot odder.

[unglitched]

"Uh, I'm phong-shaded, thankyouverymuch," she says, rolling her eyes. "Come on, sprite graphics are so 1980s."
