Freya's day job is not without its risks. As the NSA's one-and-only telepathic agent, Freya is compensated for this better than most, with a tidy salary and a beautiful apartment in the city. And her skills definitely come in handy when it comes to the area of self-preservation. But, in the end, she's still human, and humans have squishy, breakable bits. Which is to say, she's sporting a fashionable blue sling on her right arm to accent the stylish light blue sleeveless sweater, black dress pants, and NSA employee ID card.

She's also trying to figure out how to work a T-Minus. It's not going very well, in no small part due to the fact that her dominant hand is out of commission. Come see! Or help, if you're not as fond of a slice of schadenfreude pie as the more heartless among us.

There is a little black kitten with a top hat sitting on one of the tables and his thoughts seem to be going, "Itch. Itch. Itch. Bugger. Itch. Stupid... itch... RAR!!!!" as he scratches himself rapidly.

There are also a hint of bells that ring in time with his scratches.

Well, someone's super-adorable today. Freya glances at him, blinks, blinks again, and starts wondering if T-Minus comes with a camera.

No, forget that. Phone camera it is.

The interesting thing is that no matter how he wiggles the hat doesn't seem to fall off his head. He doesn't seem to notice her as "FLEAS!FUCKARGHASFHA!!"

[nineyears]

...Wait.

Did he yell that, or did she just hear it? That kitten's got a mouth on him.

She still gets a shot in before freezing uncertainly.

She heard it. He's only got mews coming out of his mouth. His head's on full on rant mode though.

And she would have a mouth too, if she was attacked by fleas.

He manages to twist himself enough to fall off the table with a startled mew.

Oh shi-!

Luckily - perhaps - for him, Freya's paying very close attention. She sees the imbalance a moment before he falls, like an overlaid image on reality, and dives forward to catch him before he hits the ground.

"MEEP!"

Or as the kitten actually thinks AGHAAAFHFAHSDHLE!!! before landing in her hands.

The hat is still on his head.
