Death would return the look, but... Death doesn't have a good face for facial expressions.

And then because he has the attention span of a gnat sometimes the Fool gets back up onto his chair and says, "I've not seen you before. I've seen Death before but not you. Your version of you."

The thing about the dog and leg bones appears to have been utterly forgotten with this new, more interesting subject.

Though I have met many fools, Death says, this is my first time meeting you.
