Steve never played with Legos--they didn't come to the States until after he was a Capsicle. They do look like fun, though, and he's smiling as he moves through the bar, watching other people build things.

At the Bar herself, a vidscreen pops up. He reads the information with a widening grin, and decides, Sure, let's do something different for the holiday. It's kind of like wearing new clothes on Easter.

So, his choices are:


So cute and fluffy! Steve kind of likes being able to walk and talk, though, so he passes.



Some sort of ... robot thing?

Steve feels like he's missing a joke.


And then there's simply Restore to factory settings.




Huh.

Ever press a button just to see what it does?



Well, he can't say this was wholly unexpected.

Steve laughs. "Guess I'll be bad, then."

He grins. "Three days in bed doesn't sound like fun to you?"

"It sounds like great fun... do I only get them if I'm good?"

"Mmhm. Only if you're very good."

"Ahh...I misunderstood you." He looks at Orpheus through his lashes. "I was all set to be bad."

Orpheus smiles at him. "I suppose it does depend on whose definition of 'bad.'"

"Yours, of course," Steve says, touching Orpheus's sleeve.

"Then you should be very, very good."

"Ever so good," says Steve at his most innocent.

Orpheus grins brightly and kisses him.

Steve puts his arms around Orpheus's neck and kisses him back.

With a chuckle, Orpheus pulls Steve into his lap.

It occurs to Steve he has never climbed Orpheus like a tree.

So he does that, basically.

Orpheus laughs, arms wrapping around him.

Steve rests on Orpheus's thighs, his arms around his neck. He beams. "Hi, beautiful."

"Hi," he murmurs. "This makes a nice change."

"I guess there are advantages to being five-foot-nothing and ninety pounds."

[golden_lyre]

"Yeah, I'm seeing a few," Orpheus agrees, leaning back a little to look him over.

Steve watches him look with a half-smile, his fingers playing in Orpheus's hair.

After a moment, Orpheus leans forward to kiss him again. "Beautiful."

"You sure about that?" whispers Steve. "You're not just saying that?"

[golden_lyre]

"Steve," he chides gently. "You know how I feel about words."

"Yeah," Steve says with a nod, and starts to smile. "I do."

"And you are beautiful," he says, kissing that smile.

"Thank you," Steve whispers.
