It is a magic day, in troth, that changed the bar this much
And offers change to any that may enter;
So does Ned Poins.

He will now choose a shape
From those that are on offer, and quite soon,
There is a great and rangy golden hound
Sprawled out upon a couch near to the furnace,
Taking up all the place, and fast asleep.

Trouble at thine own danger!

If he takes off, she'll follow. If he stays, she stays.

In the meantime, he's hilarious to watch, so she's fairly content to watch him bound around.

And she'll meet his expectations, following him at an easy clip. "Lead the way."

"Oh!" she says, and tosses it underhand, as gently as she can.

Turns out it's just a regular ball, but it still sails across the land for him to fetch.

To think that someone would want to be a dog... to play with a ball.

Grinning, Autor shields her eyes and tracks the dog's movement. She leans on a nearby tree and adjusts her glasses. "Who are you?" she calls out, laughing. "I have to know, now."

Autor snickers and tosses the ball again, and again if he wants. It's a good way to spend an afternoon, though she's still curious as to her companion's identity.

"Are you thirsty?" she asks, winded after a bit. That elbow brace is really beginning to chafe.

"Give me a moment," she says, and darts back inside, only to return with water in a bowl. "This is probably embarrassing"--no, it most certainly is, at least for her--"but I don't think you should have much more than water in this form? And, um, I don't think your tongue will work well with a straw."

Autor crouches down, mindful of her skirt. "You make a wonderful dog," she says, smiling softly. "But I do wish I knew who you were. Perhaps we'll meet again later and not even know it."

[OOC: Fade for the other thread? I'm good either way, but thank you for this one, too! :)]
