Stiles Stilinski's First Entrance (for real this time!)

Stiles Stilinski is trying to solve one of the greatest mysteries of his young life, and he's six now, so he's knows from mysteries. Mom and Dad are taking him to a baseball game (Go Beacon Hills Bluebirds!), but he can't find his baseball glove anywhere.

He runs back into his room—Dad says if he's not ready in five minutes they're leaving without him—double checks under the bed, then pulls open the closet. It looks like he took a wrong turn on the way to Narnia, cause he's just walked into some sort of restaurant, and some of the people there definitely don't look like they belong in Beacon Hills.

He reacts pretty much as you'd expect a boy this curious and enthusiastic about the world would.

"This is so cool!"

"Yeah, California's where there's gold and folks are always goin' there cause its by the ocean and green. I'm from Arizona Territory,"

"Do you live in the desert? Is it hot? It's not very hot in Beacon Hills."

"I do, yeah and it is awful hot."

"Why don't you move somewhere less hot?"

"Cause the dry air's good for my brother and it'd be expensive to move someplace else."

[whatisastiles]

"Oh."

"Do you like baseball?"

[not_his_pa]

"I know of it but haven't played it much."

[whatisastiles]

"Mom and Dad and me are going to a baseball game tonight. I need to find my glove so I can catch a foul ball," he explains rapidly.

"Dad says if I catch it I get to take it home."

[not_his_pa]

"Oh, Bar could help you get another glove if you can't find yours."

[whatisastiles]

"Really?"

[not_his_pa]

"Yeah, she'll give most things. Come on, let's ask her," He stands up and heads to the counter.

[whatisastiles]

Stiles trots along after him eagerly.

At the counter, William looks down at Stiles, "What sort of glove do you want?"

[whatisastiles]

"Jus' the reg'lar kind I guess."

He looks down at his hands. "I throw with this one," he says, holding up his right hand.

"Miss Bar, could Stiles have a baseball glove?"

[whatisastiles]

"Please, Miss Bar?" asks Stiles, following suit.

A brand new glove appears on the counter, "There, how's that?"

[whatisastiles]

Stiles puts the glove on his left hand and wiggles his fingers around inside. The glove looks brand new, but it's not too stiff.

"It's perfect!"

"Good, I hope you can catch a ball with it."

[whatisastiles]

"Me too! Maybe I can even get one of the Bluebirds to sign it!"

[not_his_pa]

"That'd be nice. Have you seen them play before?"

[whatisastiles]

"Nooope! But Heather and her brother did and they said it was really fun!"

[not_his_pa]

"Well, I hope it is. I've never seen baseball played."

[whatisastiles]

"You should go! Does your town have a baseball team?"

[not_his_pa]

"No, they don't. We're not that big."
