First Entrance!

On one side of the door, a dwarf was sleeping in a small cave in the Misty Mountains where the storms raged and mountain giants played. And then the ground opened up and a flash of light followed.

But where as his fellow dwarves fell into Goblin Town... this one rolled into a bar. Tumbling he landed flat on his back with a startled "WUFF!" noise and stared up at the unexpected ceiling.

It certainly didn't look like a cave.

Would someone care to help a dwarf out?

"You look startled there," says one faerie to the dwarf, looking over him as he steps up, but doesn't yet extend a hand.

[sharpeyedwarf]

"This was... unexpected..." He gives the guy a wary look.

[sidhe_king]

"Aye?" he asks, leaning over and offering a hand. His hood is still up, and so it bars the view of his ear-points and perhaps half of his face with shadow, but he's certainly not as ethereal--or as uptight--as the elves Kili dislikes.

"Come, back on your feet."

[sharpeyedwarf]

Well that's good.

"Yes. Most people don't expect a ... tavern... to appear when they fall down a hole."

[sidhe_king]

"Most people would be wrong, then, wouldn't they?" he asks, grinning impishly as he crouches down, since Kili seems unhurried in the process of getting back up.

[sharpeyedwarf]

The young dwarf sits up and pushes the hair from his face. "Yes, apparently."

[sidhe_king]

"Now will you get up?" Finn asks.

[sharpeyedwarf]

"What? Oh!" Kili scrambles to his feet, brushing his clothes off. He totally meant to be down that long.

[sidhe_king]

Finvarra just chuckles, and in rising back to his feet his hood falls back when he shakes his head, exposing the fact that his ears are pointed; not quite the same way as the elves Kili has seen, or will see, but they most definitely mark him as neither human nor dwarf, and by his height he's certainly no hobbit.

"You seem to be awfully ill-at-ease here."

[sharpeyedwarf]

"It's... strange." And you sir are an elf.

[sidhe_king]

"Aye, 'tis, but don't let that scare you," he laughs.

[sharpeyedwarf]

"Considering what has been happening, I think I have every right to be wary."

He's not scared.

[sidhe_king]

"Oh, I think you've every right to be wary, but I said nothing of that, now did I?" he asks.

[sharpeyedwarf]

"No. You've said nothing helpful at all," Kili says, not liking it.

Stupid elf.

[sidhe_king]

"I did confirm where you were," says Finvarra, a touch dry. "I assume that would be a helpful bit to know. But if you like, you may ask me what you wish and I shall answer."

He might not answer truthfully, but there you go.

[sharpeyedwarf]

"A name of a place isn't very much help if I've never heard of the place before," he retorts

[sidhe_king]

"You not having heard of it is hardly my fault," he says. "The place is Milliways. Folk say it's at the end of the universe--if indeed you believe it's got an end."
