When Milliways appeared in Sherwood, Will was glad of it as the days have been full and hot.
He heads to the lake where he strips down to his hose, making a pile of the rest of his clothing with his sword and dagger and boots on top before plunging in to the lake.
Then he gets out to lay on the pier with his shirt off and drink the beer he picked up on his way outside.
Once the sun's gone down, he'll head inside and relax by the fire but for now, its nice to be outside where no one is going to appear and try to fight him. Though it does look like there was a major fight here but there aren't bodies which is good.
(OOC: Find him in the lake, by the lake or inside. Open until it scrolls.)

Nottingham has to come first and he takes a long drink of his beer.

She sobers.
"How does that work?"

"I thought you couldn't go through someone else's door. Security protocol."

She doesn't like the sound of that. Needing someone to open the door for you is only small comfort when you consider the different ways you could be forced to do so.
On the other hand, the example he provides is interesting.
"So I could go to Sherwood?"
no subject
Its not perfect but the worst time he was thrown to another world wasn't even through a door.
no subject
He never specifically said it was Sherwood Forest, but she's been piecing together clues.
His name. His clothes. His speech. Even the scars on his body.
She smirks.
"Is Robin Hood a dick in real life?"
no subject
"Nay, 'e's na. Without 'im, Nottingham wouldna 'ave any 'ope."

Hill raises an eyebrow right back.
Barton mentioned anyone could come here, from George Washington to the Super Soldier himself, but you never know with Barton. Sometimes he's just messing around.
Not this time.
She wasn't sure whether this guy was the Will Scarlett of lore, or if his parents were just awful people.
"I guess you know him?"
no subject
Without Robin, he would be dead and in Hell.
no subject
But so are you.
"But a tale I happen to like. Let me put it this way--"
She slips back into a relaxed posture.
"What is he like?"
no subject
"Why do ye like it? We fight for Nottingham na like others I've met 'ere who die for worlds."
no subject
She rolls her shoulder to show the SHIELD emblem on her sleeve.
"In school we're taught about George Washington, Alexander the Great, men who bled for their country; there's nothing greater than someone who fights for their home."
It's why she does what she does.
"Sometimes that means taking a stand against the men who are in control. It's not about political allegiance, it's about protecting the weak."

"I doubt I was the only kid the stories inspired."
Your first heroes are the ones you read about.
After your parents, of course.
She takes another swig of beer.
"I wasn't trying to offend you."
no subject
It hasn't happened a lot here, but he's used to it at home.

Her smirk grows.
Just a little.

She laughs dryly.
"I'll be sure to take notes."
Not everybody loves their boss all the time.
Hill, for one, doesn't want to think about the kind of fraternization forms she'd have to fill out for pan-dimensional bar relationship clearance.

Judging by her reaction, she doesn't meet a lot of men who bow, either.
She takes a swig of beer, once more dragging her eyes over him.
It's completely involuntary this time.
"I probably wouldn't fit your standards of a Lady."

She doesn't exactly preen, but the compliment definitely has an effect.
"So does that mean you see me more as a soldier?"
Inquiring minds.
She raises her beer to her lips.
"Or a brother-in-arms?"
no subject
"Aye, I see ye as ye an warrior seems to fit ye. I'd fight beside ye."
