So, here he is. Stuck under a booth, blind, and without a stitch of clothing on.

Good thing the fuzzy coat of grey fur takes care of that.

"See? So much better once you've calmed down." The supplies have been delivered as promised - one 'Idiot's Guide to Cats', one cat tree suitable for kitten climbing, two bowls - one with water and one with kibble already in it, and one litter box, suitably filled with litter.

Oswin's not to sure what to make of it either.

Autor can't see any of it, so he occupies himself by wrapping his arms around her thumb and nipping at it playfully. He shoots his tail straight up in the air and raises his ears, content to nip her until she sets him down.

"That's quite enough of that." The fluffy kitten is placed firmly in the middle of the litter box, because she's really not sure what that's about, but since there aren't instructions, she's hoping it's all... instinctual. Time to get cracking on that book.

Whoa, wait, what? Autor mews in protest, trying to follow Oswin's route around the room with his eyes.

Ew, he spits, shaking cardboard pellets off of his little paws. He hops out of the box, trailing litter around as he scents his way around the room. This, he decides, is a much better space to explore than the bar proper, due to the lack of feet.

And better background music. There's also the snap-hiss of the burner turning on when Oswin goes to heat water for tea, and the rummaging when she goes to get a spoon and teacup, and soft shuffle of her stockinged feet across the carpet when she goes to put her shoes away.

The music most certainly helps--though Autor is turning it over in his kitty brain: what changed? Why is she playing it again? His thoughts are derailed by her tea, which he takes a moment to stop and indulge in gratefully.

The next time he finds something soft, he stops to knead it, satisfied with his exploration for now. Suddenly sleepy, Autor tucks his paws beneath him, content to flick his ears in Oswin's direction and soak up the pleasantness of her room.
