And out of the blue - busting out of the forest and through the back door - comes a familiar pony.




...A pink pony completely missing her mouth.

Once she reaches the bar, she bursts into instantaneous, though quite silent, tears.

Dare you try and cheer her up?

Joshua was getting a soda from the bar (useful, really, having a door near his lab with an actual bar with drinks!) when he turns and notices... a pink pony. Without a mouth.

"... oh dear. Uhm. Can I help you in any way?"

Pinkie nods enthusiastically. She's hungry but mouthless. Desperately,she kind of muffle-mumbles out a word.

"Milkshake!"

...She could try to snort it through her eye socket maybe?

Sallie had come out early to the bar - breakfast rush of sorts, and she wanted to help out.

But then the pony shows up.

Sallie knows of Pinkie Pie, but this can't be her -- no mouth!

"...Is that you, Pinkie? What's happened?"

Pinkie's never met Sallie, but a nice person is a nice person, so she gets some emphatic gesturing as she tries to tell the story nonverbally.

Animatedly, she gestures toward her head and combs her mane up into a conical shape, then gestures dramatically with her forelegs, flying forth with a series of 'booms' and 'pows'. Then she gestures towards her mouthless muzzle.

And then Pinkie bursts into a tearflood again. She needs to stop that before she drowns the waitrats.

On the one hoof, a quiet Pinkie Pie is most welcome.

On the other hoof...

"Wow. She really got you good, didn't she?"

[I can assume Scootaloo saw the whole thing, yes?]

You sure can!

Watch out, Scoot, Pinkie'll just tell you the longest-winded rock farming story ever.

"Mmmph-humph!" she leans into her hoof sadly.

Scootaloo can be told such a story. She just won't be doing a lot of listening to it.

"I didn't think Trixie was ever coming back. Not after the ursa minor thing."

Pause.

"So what's Ponyville gonna do now that Trixie's here and Twilight's not?"

Forgot that Pinkie hasn't got a mouth to speak with? Might have.

That doesn't matter, 'cause Pinkie's story will change mid-stream. As they do, when Pinkie tells them.

"Mmphp!" agrees Pinkie sadly, leaning into her hoof. Then she shrugs, her eyes widening in panic. "Mphwhsmmphh!"

...Her fears are clearly etched upon her face, yet completely unintelligible.
