There is a man in Milliways. He is neither tall nor short, nor fat or thin. He is wearing a tie. He is having a drink at the bar.



He is new.

He has always been there.

Cecil, welcome... to Milliways.

"I have met with similar hesitation from many others, as well, but it is not so. There is no ordinance, merely a time in which I must depend upon the generosity of the bar's patrons. I cannot consider myself one of the bar's patrons when the bar will not serve me for this time - and neither would I threaten the bar's waitstaff for sustenance."

He would never do that.

Cecil 'hm's.

Then he hums. Waiting in the bus for the rain in the rain waiting for the bus in the rain...

"Very well," he decides at last. "Tuna?"

"Tuna would be much appreciated, thank you," replies the con'cat, ears perking in Cecil's direction.

[goodnight_nightvale]

"Bar, a plate of tuna, if you please," says Cecil, and when Bar provides he puts the plate on the floor, within reach of the cat.

[mogget_cat]

The plate of tuna quickly usurps Cecil's place in the order of importance to the cat, at the moment. With a muffled "Yum, thanky', nom," the cat settles in to eat.

Cecil watches a moment, then chuckles and refocuses on his drink.
