It hasn't been an easy summer, many people in Europe are struggling and Demeter and Kore have been trying to coax the land to help.
They can only do so much because governments and economics have a way of making it harder to accomplish enough. When Milliways appears instead of the farm she was visiting, she smiles and sets her basket on the counter in exchange for some wine.
Then takes her glass outside to see how Milliways is growing before sitting down on the patio to relax for a time.

He coughs alarmingly, great whoops, but as soon as he can breath he just keeps talking. "APPARENTLY ALL INANIMATE OBJECTS AND SIMPLE MACHINES HAVE SWORN AN INVIOLABLE OATH TO THWART AND FUCK ME OVER AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY."

Typheus, Cetus, Echidna, Haephestus, Hemera, Nyx, Yaldaboath, Abraxas...
"THERE'S LIKE THREE MORE I DON'T REMEMBER RIGHT NOW," he says, frowning. "BUT I DON'T THINK SO."

"Good afternoon," he says when he is in easy earshot. He's in shirtsleeves and wearing canvas shoes, but with the air of somebody who dresses more formally, as a rule, and considers lack of tie as 'dressing down'.

"I wouldn't use that phrase since you're not interrupting anything and no, thank you. I still have some in my glass."

"I wouldn't say no to a glass." He sits down beside her. "Have you heard anything about a man called Javert?"
