So there's a girl with one hand in a bowl of ice water and the other holding a fork that she's using to deconstruct a rhubarb pie, while reading her book, which is propped up against the napkin dispenser.

It's been a moderately horrid day. Time spent with Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth is called for.

"Shut up. Like you've never put a hand wrong."

Moriarty holds up his hands innocently.

"I'm sure I never have."

"So graceful. You should have pity on us mere mortals." She snorts

"I try, but it is very difficult," Moriarty teases. "Have you been to the infirmary at all for your hand?"

"... No?" She hedges, "After all, it seems so very slight compared to a copiously bleeding head wound."

Moriarty splutters slightly. "That's different."

"Yeah, you're right - one's potentially life threatening." She retorts cheekily.

"I am twice your size!" Moriarty protests. "I am clearly far better equipped to take injuries."

"... That does not follow." She frowns, "And you're not twice my size. ... I'm pretty sure you aren't."

"It completely follows," Moriarty says, a little petulantly. "And - you're right, I'm probably not, but I am much larger than you."

"How, exactly, does it follow? You saying I'm not tough?" Because that's funny. So funny. Because he's so wrong.
