In celebration of new icons Joshua is in the bar, looking a bit more relaxed than he has been lately.

He's at a table with a pile of Legos spread out around him, a glass of beer to one side. There's a huge grin on his face as he's assembling some things.

Come bug him. He's feeling better than he has.

"Hey, man! Whatcha makin'?"

"Hey!" Joshua grins. "Well, Bar gave Claud and I these sets for Cubefall." He points at a couple bins that he's working with. "As far as we can tell, Bar's having a bit of fun, because this one's our Warehouse, and the one's my old lab from years ago."

A beam. "Don't know where the hell they came from, but they're awesome. Feel free to grab some and make something."

"Hey, neat!" He takes a seat and starts shuffling through the pieces and peering at the instruction sheets. "I wonder if there's anything like that from my system?"

The mun only wishes, but is pretty sure people have recreated some buildings anyhow.

The mun notes that Joshua's legos only exist in her imagination and Bar's trolling.

"Yeah. I have no clue where Bar got them from, but it's awesome." He's putting together what looks like a wall of drawers.

One set is an office, the other a very old-school physics lab. There are also a couple minifigs floating around the set, as well as some tiny objects of various sorts for the Warehouse set.

"I know that some people here, other worlds have fiction about them. Including my family, someone told me there's a cartoon about us. It's probably something like that." He examines the minifigs.

"Possibly, actually. I wouldn't be surprised if there's something out there about at least my sister. What we do is... rather interesting." There are a number of them, one a tiny girl with long brown hair, an older girl with a coloured stripe in her hair, one a plastic version of Joshua, a couple of a round-ish man with curly hair in two stages of getting older, another man, and a couple of ladies in business-ish clothing.

"It's just disconcerting sometimes when you find minifigs of your family and friends."

Enzo grins and holds up the Joshua and Claudia minis.

"Well, my family's already famous in our world, so I'm used to that."

Joshua laughs. "We try not to be too famous, mostly because we're supposed to be a secret organization. Things're different here. Because pretty much no one's from our world, we can talk about it."

He puts together another shelf. "Must be... interesting to be well known."

"Usually it's cool. Sometimes it can be annoying. You should see some of the reenactments." Beat. "Except you really shouldn't."

They are dreadful.

"Oh god." Joshua makes a face. "I... can just about imagine. We have battle re-enactments back home, and some of them are just terrible, so if you have personal knowledge of what's going on..."

"They're mostly more accurate than you'd expect, actually. But the acting and production values are awful."

Joshua laughs. "Ah. I was actually in a community theatre production once where we had no money, very little talent, and most of us thought we were pretty hot stuff." He smirks a bit. "So yeah."

"Ha! What'd you play?"

[claudiometer]

A wild sister appears!
"Pete's going to Jersey with us," she says, dropping into the seat across from Joshua and scooping up some Legos. "I think Artie's butthurt, but he did genuinely acknowledge Pete's probably a better bet for a rock and roll case anyway."
Long as he's not constantly comparing it to Cleveland they'll be fine.

Joshua reaches over and picks up the Artie minifig and glares at it. "You would be butthurt, dude." He sighs. "I was trying to make it work, Claud. I just... I have to go."

[claudiometer]

"I know, but you might want to explain that to him. I don't want to get into it." She knows Artie knows a new hire's pending, but she doesn't think he's realised 'pending' could mean 'by the end of the week.'
"He's at least venting most of the butthurt to the guitar replica, so there's that."

Joshua shrugs. "I've tried, Claud. The man won't let me get two words in edgewise." He sighs. "I really want to work this out, I just feel like he won't let me."

[claudiometer]

"I'm not saying you haven't, brother dear. I'm saying if that news came from me, he'd accuse me of getting special treatment when it's just that I ask you questions and then let you finish a sentence." Oh noes.
She shrugs, and starts building... she's not even sure what, yet. But it has shelves.
"So one of your finalists is an East Coast type, huh?"

"You're not getting special treatment. You just stick your nose around and find out what's going. And yes, you do ask questions."

Joshua's building a wall. With shelves. And drawers.

"Yes. He's currently stationed in Jersey. And there's a couple others." He shrugs. "That's really all I can say, Claud."

[claudiometer]

Ooooooh, a wall.
"Is there really that much of a chance we'll bump into him, though? I mean, not that I know from the standard hiring routine, but steering the nominees toward the weird seems a little creeptastic."
...But she does have to admit it'd be a good way to find out how they react to the weird.

[damncompass]

"It's... not as much steering them towards the weird as knowing what's going on." He shrugs. "This guy's ATF. If there's something that looks like a bomb, someone might call the ATF. It's... just trying to see if the situation presents itself." He shrugs, putting a few things on shelves. "I'm going to New Mexico tomorrow for another guy. No clue what I'm going to do there, but we'll see."

[claudiometer]

Claudia's Lego shelves don't really look anything like the actual shelves. But that's what Legos are for, right? Right.
"Got a point there. What's in New Mexico, the Roswell aliens getting twitchy or something?"

Joshua's shelves look fairly accurate to the office's shelves. For now.

"No, a different kind of aliens altogether. Border Patrol, actually."

[claudiometer]

"Shaking up the Secret Service pattern there, brother dear. Granted, so will we whenever we actually get badges. And so does Artie."
She knows the feeder agency's not set in stone, but.

[damncompass]

"Yeah, and that's a fight that I am fighting. I think we need a bit of shake-up. Secret Service is great, but having people who are more trained investigators rather than fetchers would be helpful." He shrugs. "One finalist's FBI, one's ATF, and one's Border Patrol."
