Party Time!

It has been a lot of work all day, schlepping stuff back and forth, enlisting the help of wait rats, fighting with the wait rats, coordinating with Bar, fighting with Bar, and basically making most of it up as he went along.

He's never actually thrown a party before, okay?!

But, finally and at last, Hellboy has done it.

Outside by the lake shore there is a Party. A Party with balloons, streamers, banners, a giant inflatable gorilla, food, LOUD music, a petting zoo, several cars display, and the occasional firework.

It starts as a celebration for Enzo's graduation from the Guardian Academy, but after Red hears the good news, it turns into an engagement party as well (after Red goes through and changes all the signs from 'Congrats, Enzo!' to 'Congrats, Enzo and Dani').

Everyone is invited, so come on, celebrate and have some fun!

"I was going to ask," protests Mark. Turning to Dani, "Congratulations to you too, for surviving high school."

"Thanks," Dani says. "So, what're your plans for after high school?"

"UC Santa Cruz," says Mark. "Home of the Fighting Banana Slugs. Got a full scholarship through my job. Dorms open in two weeks."

"How about you?"

"Right now I'm attending Amity Park Community College, and working part-time at the library."

"Cool." He pauses for a second, then asks, "No problems getting to Milliways from there? Because, um...," he gestures at Enzo. "I kinda got the impression Enzo's gonna be pretty busy on his new beat."

"Nope." She shakes her head, then with a sly grin at Enzo adds, "We've actually gotten things worked out as far as seeing each other."

Enzo smirks back and laces his fingers with hers.

Why, yes, Mark, there is something someone's not telling you.

"Oh?" Mark cocks an eyebrow. "Are you going to explain, or do I have to start guessing?"

Mark ponders for a minute, then says, with a grin, "Well... you've downloaded all of Mainframe onto a flash drive, and are going to copy it to the Amity Community College network; you've built a robot for Enzo to control; or the Blue Fairy has decided to turn him into a Real Boy."

"My money's on the last one."

"Hey, nice! Congratulations again!" Then: "So that means....."

Oh, look, Dani, he seems to have figured out the veil. "And again, congratulations!" He grins broadly. Then his face falls slightly. "I only brought a graduation gift for Enzo."

Dani shrugs. "That's okay. We only just got engaged yesterday, so Red didn't know until we told him today."

Mark looks suitably mollified, but adds, "Nonetheless, I'll have to find something suitably extravagant for a wedding present."
