David made note of the tab board his first night in Milliways, and it's been nagging at his mind ever since. He doesn't much like incurring debts if he can help it, though he's aware he doesn't have much choice at the moment.
But there was a party, and then he resolved to put it out of his mind until after the first Friday evening he's had to himself in what feels like ages. (While he decided a long time ago that God would forgive him for putting the job first, it's still nice to have that luxury, at least.)
Now, though, he's at a table, trying to figure out just how he's going to make this work.
(OOC: We do have a plan to handle Woolly's budget woes. This post's open, though!)

"Thank you. Clearly, I'm a bit out of practice."

David sighs. "I'm attempting to sort out the matter of the tabs here. Mine, specifically."

"Why're you worrying about your tab?"

Is that not enough of a reason?

Besides, it's been nearly a century since the Warehouse moved. If it hadn't been the pirates, something else would have killed David by now, whether the job or the natural progression of time.

"You hardly have to."

He's not going to protest too hard, all things considered. (And he would never betray her.)

David's notes make him wince, "Are you doing someone's accounts?"
His door found him at his workshop so he's in a grimy linen shirt with his Charter Mark faintly glowing on his forehead.

"I had been attempting to sort out my own, but that's been handled now. I just hadn't got rid of the papers."

He offers his hand with a nervous look, that wasn't the best beginning.

Once he's focused, he can feel that David's Dead but while the Dead who invaded scared him, David's more of the normal type of Milliways' Dead.

But he's probably having an easier time of it than people who aren't used to curiosities in their everyday lives.

It's hard to quantify things like the Bar. Or the Warehouse. To some extent they defy all efforts to do so.
