That was a faff that Helena would have rather not had to clean up after. However, everyone is back to as much normal as the Warehouse ever is, and she herself is ready to have a drink.

Thus, there's a Victorian sitting at the bar, straight-backed, and swirling a wooden drink-stirrer in a gin and tonic while writing something on a pile of papers.

She will help if anyone has spotted a ball, but she's trying not to be on the clock.

"Well, no, darling, although, I must admit that at least some of that is thanks to Joshua." She sighs. "Sometimes I think Artie doesn't really have that much sense. But he has been in the job for quite a while, and I guess he knows a lot."

"How did Claudia put it? A 'high-paranoia' job before the Warehouse, which seems to have fallen into not telling people anything?" If he'd known that at the party, he'd have asked Mr. Kosan why he allowed that to happen.
"I can see where some of the attitude came from, given that, but even so, I wouldn't waste an asset like you without being very sure it was too much trouble to use it."

"Honestly, I am so bloody tired of inventory, I could scream." She rolls her eyes. "I really do not know what makes him tick, as Joshua would say. I just do what I'm told."

"Inventory, really? Does he think you're new to the job or something?"

"I don't bloody well know. I think he thinks I am not to be trusted around Artifacts after the Egypt faff. It was not my fault that the damned shawl pulled me in! Besides, I wanted to put the trident to bed, not use it."

David sighs. "The more I hear about this man, the more I want to give him a piece of my mind."

"He and Joshua have already had it out a few times." She sighs. "It doesn't help that it was Artie who pushed Joshua to use the damn compass in the first place. However, that does not excuse the way he's treated me."

"The two things are unrelated. His issues with Joshua should have nothing to do with how he treats you, and if he can't put his personal baggage aside long enough to focus on the task at hand, he's not a very good supervisor."

"I was connecting things that probably aren't connected, Wooley. I was trying to say that it is not just to me that he does these things." She sighs. "I know Claudia thinks highly of him, but... I just have a problem respecting him when he so obviously does not do the same to me."

David shrugs. "No doubt she has her reasons for liking him so much. It's entirely possible he has good intentions that are getting muddied by everything else. But the fact remains that his intentions are getting lost in the shuffle."
Covering up information from people who need it? Not acceptable.
