Winter Wonderland - 12th Night Party!

Father Christmas returns from the mountains this 12th night, leading the chained Krampus and his former captives. Some of them are triumphant, some hurt and limping, some are huddled with their friends who have been searching for them.

Those entering the bar today will find one corner of it decked out in a minimalist theme of white, silver, and blue snowflakes. Warm, enchanted snow drifts down from the ceiling, disappearing before it alights on the floor, but piling up on the window sills and mantle of the fire.

Snowmen dance outside on a glassy floor, circling and swaying in lines. Should one want a fancier change of clothes after an ordeal in the labyrinth, it'll magically be provided at the door.

"Still good that you had it," Alana says. "And thank you for bringing it in."

She blinks at him, and then eases into a soft grin. "You just 'have access to the funds'? You're the boss?" she says, though she cants her head at his tone. "It's good that she's there. Family is important."

"Hey, if I have something that would help people, I'm certainly not going to keep it from people, especially if it's information."

He sighs, shrugging. "I'm not the boss per se, but I'm in administration. It's just easier, I guess, to say 'here's the money, be responsible' than just pay me a salary. We have... a shitton of mony."

"Family is important." What of it he has left. "Claud's... pretty much all I have."

Alana nods at his desires to help out, and then grins at his remarks about his position at the Warehouse. "Having a ton of money certainly does help in some ways," she says, "but I suspect it can be exhausting in many others."

She smiles, thoughtful, as he speaks of Claud. "What's she like?"

"Yeah, the accounting is absolute crap. Granted, we're organized as a non-profit, and we're an international organization, so the taxes aren't as bad as they could be, but it's still an administrative nightmare." He shrugs. "And, well, part of me just wants to give it all away, but I realize that we do need to have it sometimes." Artifacts don't come cheap all the time, and sometimes Pete just needs to sniff ten grand.

"Claud's awesome. She's the best computer hacker in the world, but mostly she uses her powers for good. She's also brilliant, hilarious, and I'm so proud of her."

Alana nods and spears a single cheese potato with a fork. "That attitude may even be why you were chosen for the administrative position."

Her smile is rather fond when he speaks of Claud, and Alana turns to give him all of her attention. "She sounds like a lovely young lady," Alana says, "and I'm envious of your relationship. That you have such a bond is excellent."
