Winter Wonderland - 12th Night Party!

Father Christmas returns from the mountains this 12th night, leading the chained Krampus and his former captives. Some of them are triumphant, some hurt and limping, some are huddled with their friends who have been searching for them.

Those entering the bar today will find one corner of it decked out in a minimalist theme of white, silver, and blue snowflakes. Warm, enchanted snow drifts down from the ceiling, disappearing before it alights on the floor, but piling up on the window sills and mantle of the fire.

Snowmen dance outside on a glassy floor, circling and swaying in lines. Should one want a fancier change of clothes after an ordeal in the labyrinth, it'll magically be provided at the door.

"Although Chris said that he'd manually corrected that one, and Enzo got snatched taking me, really."

"Maybe that was it. What, was it a naughty list?"

"Chris got it off one of the elves, apparently they got fed up of sorting through files from multiple universes and just dumped everyone on the naughty list. The creepy gifts we got were from her."

"Yeah... I got a picture of my oldest son as a baby. It was taken on the Disc. The God of Borogravia, Nuggan, forbids pictures of living things, so I was frightened. But I know now it was part of the magic."

"Forbids taking pictures? And this elf knew that?"

"If the intent was to be creepy, he must have. In any case, the picture wasn't taken on the Disc; it was Jack as he last looked before we left the Disc."

"...then how could it exist?" he asks, confused.

"Chris said that sometimes they need to pull up a picture of a child so they know who gets which gift. Apparently that's how the magic works, and the elf must have copied it."

"I never thought of it like that. But then, we never really did Christmas much until I was ten."

"I never did it as a child." Shufti says. "Nor Hogswatch."

"It's like Christmas on the Disc. The Hogfather brings presents on the 36th December, I believe."

"Our calendar is really complicated."

"Must have been quite a relief coming to Earth, in that way. Ours is really simple."

"To be honest, my working day didn't revolve much around the calendar unless I had to help prepare the household for a big party."

"Sort of a maid." Shufti says. "Before I went into the army."

"They let you go into the army?"

Somehow, he thought her world was stricter than that.

"Borogravia is like... imagine Gene Hunt was a country. Picks fights. We ended the war, but I doubt it will stay at peace forever."
