The air is nippy, the ground covered in mud and ice and snow, the sun is setting behind clouds that Jim thinks will lead to snow tomorrow. It is not the ideal day to go riding, but it does well enough for horse and rider. Jim's covered several miles today, and Rachat is showing no signs of tiring. But as night nears, Jim brings Rachat home. Even as he thinks about whether it's time to get his own horse back home. Whether it's time to make plans for the rest of his life.
He will soon enter the barn. And after that, return to the Bar for a drink. And will no doubt be approachable in either place.
