Javert is in his normal back corner of the bar. It was pouring rain when he finished in the forge for the day, so he came here instead of going out into the woods. He is surrounded by paper, and the odd ruler, and he is drawing something with precision on one sheet - only to finish it, shake his head and toss it away, before taking a new piece and starting again.
This looks like it has been going on for some time, and may continue the rest of the day. And possibly night. A distraction before his hand falls off would perhaps be welcome.
[OOC: Open UNTIL THE END OF TIME. Or next Wednesday. Whichever comes first. <3
ETA: YOU FABULOUS PEOPLE. *flings love at* I must crash, but it's been a blast. Am around all day tomorrow to continue. <3]

He welcomes Clio back and pulls her into his lap, stroking her ears. "I took her to the vet to have her checked, since she was wheezing when she breathed. Her foot got caught in a door and it snapped the bone."

He would probably mind. It is not important. He frowns instead.
'She got injured while at the dog doctor?'

Clio lays her head down with a huff, and Ganymede rubs her head and front paws.

Not that he cares about dogs in the least, but someone not doing their job correctly should be severely reprimanded.

But he has no wish to start an argument, as he is positive Ganymede will fight the optimist's corner until the end of the night.
'Are you recovered from the thunderstorm?'

He scratches under the pup's chin, and tilts his head to invite Javert over. "What are you drawing?"

'A sketch, that is all.'
He lifts the top sheet and turns it so the man may see. It is rather more than a sketch; a small church in a wooded clearing, perfectly in proportion, with fine detailing through the leaves and tree trunks. There are small stained-glass windows - though not coloured in this - and grass framing a neat, paved path up to the wooden doors. It is topped by a cross. And it is a very fine drawing, for all that Javert thinks little of it.
