Almanzo is temporarily sporting an eye patch on his right eye after the whole exploding potato thing. Though mother is confident the swelling will go down soon, and he knows the eye is okay underneath, he's not all that keen on showing everyone the poultice she put on it.

It hasn't stopped him running around anyway, and realising that here there is still a bit of snow where at home it is gone, he snuck his sled in today and has been busy dragging it up the bottom of the mountains at back, before launching himself at speed down the hill.

There's room on the sled for one more.
