Wade is currently taking up prime sofa space in front of the fire. It's blowing a gale outside, and he's got nowhere to be. So he's sprawled lengthways, a large whiskey on the table, and a sketchbook and pencil in his hand. There's any number of things here to catch his eye, and he has to make some use of his time. He'd asked Bar to provide his gun - he doesn't feel right without it - but she wouldn't give it up.
It's probably for the best. He's got no objection to spending an easy evening, anyway.
[OOC: It's blowing a mad gale here, so if I disappear suddenly, the power's probably gone out.]

Though he doesn't have his gun which is odd and he considers moving someplace else but he wants to be near the fire. His face is still a mess of bruises and he's holding himself gingerly.

'William.'
Oh, good.

"Wade."
no subject
'You get home alright?'
no subject
Last he knew Wade was the one traveling with some plan of his, but then its been a while since he's been in Milliways.

'The train.'
For him, it hasn't been long since he last saw this kid. And it wasn't an easy last meeting.

"That was four years ago. You feelin' alright, Wade?"
no subject
He raises his head a little from the cushions of the sofa, and nudges his hat back some. It's not obvious how much shorter his hair is, but if someone looks closely, it may show at the temples.
'Four years ago, huh? Surprised you still remember my name.'

This is odd, he's been talking to Wade here but now he's acting like all that happened before didn't, "With the way you keep it in the news, ain't likely to forget it."

Seeing Javert sketching is strange..seeing him with a bottle of whiskey is a cause for concern.
"Evening." Sonya approaches him a little wary. "You doing okay?" Granted, it has been a while since they last spoke-maybe he learned to actually relax.

(Lots of women are his kind of beautiful.)
'Evenin' yourself.'
His accent is entirely different; somewhere from the South, and heavy on the charm.
'I'm just fine.'
no subject
"You just..you look like someone I know. Thought you were him for a moment."

He pours himself another drink, and then one for her too which he nudges invitingly in her direction.
'He's a lucky guy. Drink?'
no subject
She eyed the drink. "I'll pass, thanks. Strictly speaking, I'm still on duty once I go out the door. I'll have a seat though." She took a seat next to him, his remark almost making her smirk. "You misunderstand. When I say we know eachother, it's in a 'we know eachother by name and get along in a civil way-nothing more than that."
She prayed it would stay that way. The last thing she wanted was to give Javert a broken hand over something he didn't have much control over.
no subject
He lays on one of his more charming smiles.
'And I just meant he was a lucky guy for knowing you.'
He leans forward then, and offers his hand.
'Ben Wade.'
no subject
She takes his hand in a firm shake. "Sonya Blade, and I'll be sure to tell him that next time I see him." Or just remind him how very surreal this was.
She does eye the drink a moment. "Suppose one drink wouldn't hurt." And well, if it did-she'll just sleep it off.

'Think he'll agree with me? If he doesn't, he's dumb as a plank.'

But if this is Javert merely thinking he is Ben Wade, then he will of course claim to be Ben Wade; and if it is Ben Wade himself, the will know nothing of Javert and baulk at the question.
So Teja stands, and wonders.

If he is the real Wade, he's had a haircut. Other than that, there's no discernible difference. He shaved his beard off as soon as he saw he'd grown one in the infirmary.

Hmmm.
'Can't say I remember seeing you at all. But time's screwed. 'pparently I'm here from a different time than folks remember.'
He got that from William.

'Say what now?'
Really.
'Seems unlikely, if I'm honest.'
no subject
He should get close enough to discern whether the minute vampire bite scars are there -- dubious at this light, not a good idea with Javert, and possibly a very bad idea with Ben Wade.
no subject
'Well, that all depends what business it is of yours.'
He goes back to sketching, though he doesn't let Teja move from his peripheral vision.
