You've moved to a new area: The Bar at the End of the Universe
Dr Thurlow dashes through the front door of the Bar and slams it behind them. They're looking a tad shell-shocked, insofar as it's possible to tell under the goggles, iron hat, and truly massive amount of cobwebs clinging to their face and clothing.
"That is... eeeurgh. Not going back out there for a long time," they announce to all and sundry, making retching noises and muttering about eyeballs as they pull the spider-silk off. Which could take them a while. It really is a prodigious amount of web.
((OOC: Yes hello Thurlow is here to get infected with the IMDB flu! Come sneeze on them or something.))

"Do I want to know where you've been?"

"Not really. Does it involve eggs in places you don't want them? And do you need a hand there?"

"You've got it." He moves to start untangling the web, keeping a wary eye out for potential baby spiders in it as he does so. "Were you in the deep jungle or something?"

"...well, I suppose it'd be dark and damp, that's the kind of place spiders like", Gavroche concludes. "But does that mean you went in the nest on purpose?"

Thurlow's made much worse decisions!

Gavroche eyes him dubiously, then decides there must be something he doesn't know yet.
"What part seemed like a good idea?"
no subject
"I should probably have mentioned that detail sooner, shouldn't I." Thurlow picks one of the remaining strands of cobweb off their sleeve. "That's the purpose of the goggles."
no subject
"To... stop them from stealing your eyeballs", Gavroche guesses, winding bits of web absently into a ball. "Did you see what was down the hole? And why did you break into the chapel?"

"...good reason", he says with a nod. "So what was down there, or did you not get that far?"

He makes a sickened face at that.
"Don't blame you. I think I'd have turned back even without the attack spiders."

"Bar can probably give you the makings of a torch before you go", he suggests. "Light it and scare them off, if you're going to be still in there when you leave."

"Everything alive is afraid of fire", Gavroche says with a nod. "If it's got enough brains to be afraid, anyway."

[ooc: works for me! They can talk again without the spiders.]
