Jay’s getting drunk. Really, really drunk. Not fun drunk but seriously blind, just kill me now drunk.
He’s taken up position in a corner booth, as far away from everyone else as possible. At least he planned ahead this year and has asked the rats to throw him into his room when he passes out.
He’s botherable but might not be very good company. Today is not a good day to be him.

He gets a toothpick from the Bar ( there's a bit of cartilage between his teeth) and looks around. He's got a folder for Jay with a couple of photos and sketches so he can come up with a security system of sorts. Eric is far happier putting it in the hands of someone not from his world and he trusts Jay. As much as he ever trusts anyone which isn't a lot, granted.
He spots Jay , takes a closer look and deposits the folder with Bar.
And then he walks across the room . Someone looks a little messed up.
What a shame.

Eric leans on the table.
"On the upside, you seem very efficient. With the drinking"

He chuckles, dark and broken. "I do this every year. I've gotten very good at it. At least this year I can afford good booze."

"That depends on how much of it you drink", he counters and takes a seat. "May I join you?"

X's voice is quiet, but she is capable of getting louder, if necessary.
"You are not okay."
It's the smell of alcohol. Probably.

"Can you do me a favour? If you see Bruce, telling to stay far away from me tonight. It's not his fault but another bottle from now and I won't care."
no subject
"I will not forget."
She falls silent for a couple seconds, studying Jay.
"Intoxication is the only thing that helps? You. With -- this."
Maybe later she will ask what 'this' is.

Charles spots him and sits across from him,
"Jay, if you want to be unconscious I can send you to sleep without having to worry about a hangover or bad dreams."

{ooc: Charles is always welcome. But I apologise for being in super slow time, my computer's playing up at the moment.}

"I've seen worse, that's why I'm offering to help. Let me give you peace and calm for a time,"
This is what he's good at doing, taking away pain.

"I've never had other option on this night. Drinking myself horizontal has become something of a tradition."

"Jay? Think you've had enough there, mate." he says gently. "Why don't you come to the infirmary and have a kip, eh?"
