Here's a face that hasn't been around in a while.  But he's been busy.  As might be indicated by the large stack of newspaper and files bearing such names as Poison Ivy, Bane and Mister Freeze.  As well as Batman and Robin and even a Batgirl.  Knox is busy sorting some of the stacks, and making notes.

"Interesting reading?" Jay asks, carrying a big mug of coffee.

[gotham_knocking]

Ah, it's the guy who knew too much about Batman. Knox won't give him a hard time, though.

"Depends on who you ask. There are some cops who might prefer to skip it."

[ooc: Millitiming is fine.]

"Gotham cops skipping reading? Die of shock." Jay mutters sarcastically. "Looking for something in particular?"

[gotham_knocking]

"Trying to organize my thoughts. I want to write a column that kind of take perspective of it all. More villains, more heroes, more chaos." He sounds challenged more than anything else.

[runningred]

"That can't be easy. All of this... it's kinda hard to see from the ground up." Jay reads several pages upside-down.

[gotham_knocking]

"Well, it's what they pay me for. But yeah. And it happened so fast. Freeze, then Ivy, then the gang wars with Bane, then Freeze and Ivy together." Not fun at all.

[runningred]

"Ivy and Freeze working together?" Jay's expression can only be described at what the fuck. "How the fuck did that happen?"

[gotham_knocking]

"Ah, you're familiar with their handiwork." Not a surprise.

"Freeze was looking for revenge against his former employers for making him Freeze. I think. It's still murky. Ivy's list of bad corporations included that company. So they pooled their resources. Only in the end, her madness was so bad that he turned against her. Which was the opening the Bats needed."

[runningred]

"More than I'd like to be." Jay mutters darkly. He has scars with Ivy's name on them.

He shakes his head. "Yeah, I can see how that could go wrong. It's a bad sign when Freeze is the level-headed one."

[shufti]

Shufti appears alongside him and slips an extra picture into his pile.

[gotham_knocking]

"Huh?" He stops, sees Shufti, and then put two and two together. Or is it one and one in this case.

"Oh wow. Twins. Twin boys. Congrats!"

[shufti]

"Thanks." Shufti grins and sits down, awkwardly. "They have to stay in special care for a few days, because they're small, but they're doing okay. How are you keeping?"

[gotham_knocking]

"I am keeping well. Gotham has just kept me busy.". Too busy.

[shufti]

"I've not seen you enough." Shufti agrees. "Is it the crime level?"

[gotham_knocking]

"Of late, yeah. New supervillains, which means lots of news. Keeps me busy. There were days I barely got to see Raps."

[shufti]

"How is Raps?" Shufti asks, getting a tea from a waitrat.

[gotham_knocking]

"Doing quite well. Weird stuff in Gotham doesn't phase her.". He won't mention how she's been putting off returning to her world indefinitely. "I'll tell her you say hi"

[immortalthief]

Amanda comes down from her room and is pleased to see an old friend.

Taking a seat across from him and picks up one of the newspapers.

[gotham_knocking]

"Bird?" He tries to remember the last time he saw an Amanda that was from the right time to remember him. "That's the real you, right?"

[immortalthief]

"It is" she beams at him.

A small sigh, "It has been a while." she puts down the paper and goes and gives him a hug and a kiss on each cheek.

[gotham_knocking]

He returns the hug, of course.

"So the last time I saw you, you were from a lot earlier. When are you from?"

[immortalthief]

"I am from 2014?" she moves back into her seat and looks at the newspaper again.

"It looks like Gotham is as ... vibrant as ever."

[gotham_knocking]

"More so. The people with weird powers arrived. Hooray.". He is not happy.

[immortalthief]

"Should make for interesting stories." trying to look on the bright side.

[gotham_knocking]

"Damned interesting, Bird. But not as lot of fun. Seriously, this guy has a freeze ray. No one wants that."
