When the door opens, it appears to be a cupboard piled rather high with... stuff.
Specifically, stuff that 'could be useful'. Which on this occasion contains a box of screws and pieces of metal, half a toaster, a telephone with no receiver, and the front end of a go-kart.
It appears that Bonnie was after the front end of the go-kart; in any case, the whole pile suddenly comes crashing down as she trips over something her side, scattering bits and pieces all over the place.
"Dammit." she grumbles, picking herself up, putting the piece of go-kart on one side, and trying to pick up all the scattered bits of metal to put into one of the cardboard boxes.

"And there's never enough space for enough shelves."
He picks up something and looks at it curiously, uncertain what it is, before handing it over.

"...chariot race?" That's intriguing, and he starts to grin. "They build their own before they race them?"

"Of course. So they just need to be really clever about it, if they're going to do it."

"Harmless is all just fine, but not making the other car's wheels drop off", he agrees with a grin.
