The road to recovery is a slow one. Physical or emotional. But Charles was right – it helps to keep busy, keep moving. So Jay’s having a building day down in the garage.
He’s working his training ‘bots mostly. He kinda broke two of them sparring. And of course, there’s always his motorbike to fiddle with. He also has a bunch of smaller projects spread out on his benches. And as always, the music is up loud. He is however, a little more vigilant than normal and less likely to be snuck up. Unless you’re really trying.
Botherable if you don’t mind being asked to pass a spanner.

She glances around the room and says to herself, Milliways, or anyone that might be listening, "Huh, when did this get here?"

Walking over she takes a look at what he is working on. Since he seems busy she just offers her name,"I'm Amanda."

He wipes the grease off his hand and offers it to her with a smile. "Jay. Nice to meet you. I guess I'm the Bar's unofficial mechanic."

"Nice to meet you too." looking around, "I never thought that we would need a garage here, but I guess if we have stable a garage makes sense."

"Have you seen any space craft?"
no subject
"Quite a few, yeah." He kicks a little laptop into life and pulls up his maps. "8km south, south west. There's a whole aisle of them. Mostly little personal flyers by the size of them but I'm sure there are bigger ones somewhere."

Amanda makes note of where to find them, "That is great! I love space travel. Have you done any?" something she has only been able to do on occasion because of her time at Milliways.

Well.
The motorbikes.
So she's pulled out the oldest, most beat-up version of something similar to her old bike in Moscow, and she's giving the poor thing a tune-up. Engine grease is healing, right?
That's what she's going to tell Skellig.
She'll pretend it's like fish oil.

Sadly.

A few minutes later there's a startled squawk of protest when the tiny machine produces dubstep.

After that last one, she mutters something dire-sounding under her breath while glaring daggers at the little gadget.
She is promptly rewarded with 'I'm Going Slightly Mad'. It's good enough, so she leaves the player in peace and heads back to her bike.

That buzzing sound then, if he hears it, is Fairy Fixit exploring the garage to see what new interesting vehicles she bumps into today. Eventually she comes around to were Jay is working.
"Hello Jay," she greets. "What are you working on?"

She thinks.
"Do you have a crimper or something else to give this wire a good squeeze?" she asks.
