Guppy had debated gathering up the Life Support troops tonight, with Lecter temporarily incarcerated. But short of announcing to the group what he's been up to, it's going to be difficult for people to discuss it openly.

So instead he's taken up position in a cosy booth, and has armed himself with British chocolate to distribute to anyone who needs it, and a smaller than usual sigh:

Oh look, Simon Tam is approaching his booth. With a note in his hand.

And a look on his face that suggests that whatever's on his mind, it probably isn't chocolate or free hugs.

"Simon!" Guppy tucks his sign in his pocket. "Am I glad to see you."

Spotting the note in his hand and his alarmed look he adds. "I sent you that two weeks back. Lecter's currently in the cells on another charge. I went with Gene and made him promise not to see any patients until it was sorted."

He asks a waitrat to bring Simon some tea or coffee or something, given he's had two weeks less to think about this revelation.

"Two weeks." He shakes his head. "Guppy, I'm sorry, I should have been here. This is ... appalling."

[guppy_sandhu]

"It's okay, it's not your fault." Guppy says. He's clearly tired and worn down by the horrifying events of the last few weeks, but he's got a determined look about him not to let it defeat him.

"I didn't want to tread on your toes suspending or firing him - but it turns out Lecter never actually registered with you anyway, which made it a bit easier, because Gene and I were able to work it as a Security matter rather than an Infirmary one. We now have evidence - and a confession - that he psychologically messed with one of the patrons, Javert, who is fortunately alive, which I hope is enough on its own to keep him off the team.

"We have evidence that he's carried the scent of cooked human flesh in with him, and someone from his world investigating him has been in backing up our fears. It really does appear that he's a cannibal."

Beat.

"I'm sorry, I realise it's a lot to take in, please sit down."

He takes the seat, running a hand across his face.

Cooked human flesh. Dear god.

"For the record," he says in a faintly strained voice, "if any accusation of this severity is leveled against any infirmary personnel, I'd be inclined to say that temporary suspension should be standard policy."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Yeah, I figured as much, that's why I did it." Guppy says. "We had quite a lot less evidence at the time I wrote the note."

A stunning woman in an expensive dress wanders over, looking perplexed and carrying her shoes. "Sorry to bother you but I seem to be lost. What is this place?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"Oh hi." Guppy smiles. "Well... you have passed through a portal in space and time, to a magical bar, and it'll keep happening whether you believe it or not." he says.

"Chocolate?"

"That's good to know." She muses, processing with a slightly amused smile. "I don't know how safe I'd feel if architecture took my opinion into consideration."

"Thank you." She takes a piece, determined to enjoy it even if it costs her a hour in the gym. "So, I'm hoping this portal isn't only one way? Sillvo will be furious if I vanish with his headline dress."

Five minutes running per cube. Mun may have experimented on some Girl Guides.

"Shouldn't be - people sometimes get stuck for a short time but usually they get out again, and time is just as they left it." Guppy says.

"So time doesn't pass when you're here?" She considers this for a long moment. "You don't happen to know a man named David, do you? Tall, blue eyes, German?"

"I don't think so." Guppy says. "But I do meet quite a lot of people here, and you do tend to get people from the same worlds."

[OOC: I know we are still doing another thread. This one can be quick. She just wants to give him a hug.]

Amanda see's Guppy and then the sign and walks up to him and gives him a hug.

Guppy gives her a warm hug back.

Always good to get an Amanda hug.

Olivier spots the sign, and the look on Guppy's face and comes over to join him. "Sir, is all well with you? You seem unhappy?" He's somehow managed to miss all the disasters with Dr Lecter. Someone really aught to tell him.

"Oh, trouble with a colleague." Guppy says. "Who's currently in the cells. Chocolate?"

[equal_of_any_man]

"Thank you kindly." Olivier's never one to say no to chocolate. It is, in his opinion, the greatest of all foods.

"May I ask who had been imprisoned?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"Dr Lecter." That much is public knowledge. "We're not letting him work here - if he's found guilty we can be open about the reason."

[equal_of_any_man]

Olivier looks painfully startled. "Dr Lecter? What is he accused of?" Dr Lecter has been a good friend to him and it comes as a great shock that he could be anything but a good and honorable man.

[guppy_sandhu]

"Hurting people... I can't really say any more."

Eric looks at the sign.
It's a testament to his current state of mind that he doesn't sneer or otherwise disparage it.

He doesn't do chocolate though. Or hugs.

There are still traces of blood beneath his eyes.

"Hey there. You okay?" Guppy asks.

[ooc: I suck, I can't remember if they met]

He looks up, surprised at the question.
"...yes," he says. "Mostly."

"Chocolate?"

Eric shakes his head.

"I can't eat it."

There's definitely blood in the corner of his eye.
