"Hey! I know you!"

It is not an ex-boyfriend. It's a considerably friendlier voice than that. "I haven't seen you in here in ages, and considering the fact that it's a bar, that's saying something." PeeJee grins.

She grins back. "Goblin Con took up a lot of time. I am now ready to reassume my drinking duties."

"Goblincon sucked monkey balls. But I am in favor of drinking!" Not to excess, though, at least at Milliways. She could get wasted at home, where it was boring.

KARR spots PeeJee from his spot near the door to the lake-and it looks like she's talking to someone he doesn't know. Curious, he rolls in the direction of the pair, the occasional chair *thunk*ing as he unsuccessfully tries to dodge it.

"It was more work than I thought it would be. I still have to pay off three of those therapists." It's funny how Aubrey says "pay off" and it automatically sounds bad.

"And we all know how mental health professionals love their blood money," PeeJee says. And then she waves.

At a black and silver 1982 Trans-Am that's having some problems with chairs.

She has a look on her face like she's considering lending a hand.

"It's a car." She sounds mostly like she's just observing a fact. "In the bar...I wish I'd had that book as a kid. Damned cat with his stupid hat wasn't nearly as exciting."

The Trans Am's scanner light speeds up at the wave, and KARR shoves a final chair out of the way as he rolls over. "Hello, PeeJee." He's covered in a light coat of snow, and as it melts a puddle begins to form. "I would suggest that you watch where you step."

He turns slightly so his prow is more in Aubrey's direction. "Not just a car."

"I'll be careful," she promises Karr.

And then with the air of one introducing gunpowder to a fire, PeeJee says, "Karr, this is my best friend, Aubrey Chorde. Aubrey, this is Karr, Kitt's brother. Please tell me you remember I told you about Kitt."

"Kitt. Not starting out as human car guy you had woes about. I remember." See, she gets the important things. "It's a silver car! And black. And talks." Wide grin. "Am I meeting the family?"

"Yes. Yes you are." Not the way I'd have wanted to do this, but. Yes.

PeeJee turns to Karr. "Careful. She bites."

She turns to Aubrey. "Careful. He bites back."

And PeeJee, agnostic bordering on atheistic, suddenly wishes she had someone to pray to.

She considers praying to Asar-Suti, but only briefly.

KARR's scanner goes even faster at this, but he attempts to put his best...well, tire forward. "Hello, Aubrey. After my last few encounters with the other patrons, I'm glad to meet someone who knows what a car is."

"I know cars. I had forming experiences in several of them. None of them talked. All would have stories to tell. Most would end with blood or charges being pressed." SHe's entirely too cheerful.

There is a very quiet, "ohgod" from PeeJee's direction.

She may or may not be making up a religion.

KARR pauses for a long moment, then turns his prow in PeeJee's direction for a moment, scanner streaking backa nd forth irritably. It's the closest he can get to a what did you drag me into? glare. Turning back towards Aubrey, his scanner slows. "That's...interesting. Please be aware that I won't be allowing anything of the sort."

"If you hang around PeeJee enough, the blood will result," she says wisely.

"I have not made anyone bleed in the bar," PeeJee informs Aubrey. There's a bit of an unspoken I do not have to make you bleed to make you suffer attached to it. But it is at a low level.

Can Karr scan for death by embarrassment like he can scan for other things? Is embarrassment a vital sign?

"You have, however, warned me that you can be rather violent."

"That's our PeeJee. Violence and gay men are her bread and butter. Which reminds me, is Kitt the latter?"

PeeJee is torn between a glower and a facepalm.

"Karr, you don't do hit-and-runs by request, do you?"

KARR pauses, the scanner light momenatrily fading out. "...Pardon?"

The light reappears at PeeJee's question. "That would depend. What do I get in return?"

"Whatever she bribes you with, I'll double. Gay men. Is Kitt one?"

"Chocolate. Beer. Porn. I'll pay your bar tab. Computer parts. Wash and wax?" PeeJee offers. "I'm open to negotiations."

"PeeJee...in case you're forgetting, I'm anything but eager to take on human form and I have no digestive system or genitalia, so what would I want with those?" He pauses for a moment, scanner flicking slowly as he asks in a mildly baffled voice, "...What would car porn be made up of?

"Never mind. And Aubrey, your offer...?"
