*Moiraine glides downstairs and glances around the room curiously before going to the bar for tea and fruit, which she takes to her usual table. The Aes Sedai is serenely composed, as usual, but appears to be looking for someone.*

But who? Probably not Indy. But he's there anyway.

"How're you Moraine?" he enquires politely as she puts her order in at the bar.

Good evening, Indy. *Moiraine smiles serenely at him.*

I find that I am fairly well, at present. And yourself?

He smiles back half-heartedly. "Oh not so bad. I found myself bound shortly after I returned with my injuries. So I'm a permanent fixture now... but... eh... it's not too bad. Found a nice girl to spend some evenings with."

"Sorry I didn't say hi out by the lake the other night. It was kinda... hectic."

You are Bound? *She studies him curiously.* Presumably the bar did not wish you to leave, but why... the Wheel weaves.

There is no need to apologize, Indy. Matters were rather intense, yes. *Moiraine does not look overly pleased with the recollection.*

"Who knows Moiraine... maybe I was meant to meet Lorelai. Maybe I was meant to stay away from the quest that was ahead of me. Maybe the bar just needed a reliable funding source," he muses.

*Moiraine repeats herself patiently, with no sign of irritation. Her voice remains perfectly serene.*

The Wheel weaves as it wills, and all things are part of the Pattern. Perhaps it is that you have something to do here. *She looks thoughtful for a moment.* Or, as Spike has suggested, perhaps it is that you needed the refuge for a time.

"Refuge is all well and good. But does it have to be so boring?" he ponders. "I'm a slave to the Wheel I guess."

Boring? *Moiraine studies him carefully.* What would you prefer, Indy?

He puffs up proudly. "I'm an adventurer Moiraine. My heart yearns to travel. To find that which has been hidden or left untouched for too long."

And then he slumps a little. "The excitement I find here is... less than satisfying. But there seems to be nothing I can do about it. This is my weave and I'm stuck with it."

Probably not Roland, either.

The gunslinger approacheth.

"Long days and pleasant nights."

*Moiraine smiles at him, and indicates a seat at her table.*

How are matters with you this evening?

He works a shrug into his movements as he sits. "Can't complain."

"Meg told me something interesting last night." Roland's doing his stonefaced thing.

*Moiraine tilts her head, studying Roland.*

Did she? I think that I might, myself, be interested in hearing such a thing.

[lastgunslinger]

"She said that her father now had possession of Anthy."

It's hard to tell what Roland thinks about this development.

*She nods, and does not appear at all surprised.*

Yes. Desire defeated Alex in a duel, and now has control over the Rose Bride.

[lastgunslinger]

"She also said," says Roland, "that Anthy caused Alex to want to take control of her."

[blue_ajah]

*Dark eyes narrow, and her gaze is suddenly more intent.*

Is it so?

I became aware during the duel that Anthy had ... a certain amount of influence over Alex, but this I did not know.

[jane_drew]

*Jane waves politely at Moiraine from her table.*

*Moiraine smiles, and approaches Jane, carrying her cup of tea with her.*

Good evening, Jane. How are matters with you?

[jane_drew]

*she sips her hot chocolate as Moiraine sits across from her at the table.*

Oh, I'm fine. How're you?

I am well enough, at present.

*Moiraine looks thoughtfully at Jane.*

I understand, from Will, that you met someone here recently that you know.

[jane_drew]

*Jane nods, setting down her book.* Yes. Two of Will's older brothers found their ways here, as did...Mrs Rowlands.

[blue_ajah]

I should be interested to hear your opinion of this, I think.

*The Aes Sedai's tone is calm.*

[jane_drew]

*She takes another sip of her hot chocolate.* It complicates things horribly. Most of the people here who know Will also know about Will, but his brothers don't. Mrs. Rowlands certainly knows about Will, and might use that his brothers don't know about him against Will, somehow.

*Moiraine looks at Jane, thinking. Eventually, she speaks.*
