There's a very excited little girl running around Guppy's table this evening.

"And I won this thing!" Coral says, holding up her plastic medal.

"Yes you did." Guppy says, "You did very well."

"And it said I was good at sport." Coral says, putting it on the table.

"Not quite, it says you were a good sport." Guppy says. "Because even though you were last in all the races you stopped to help that girl who fell over."

"Is that good?" Coral asks.

"Course it is." Guppy says, scooping her up onto his knee. Together, they work on making out some invitations to her 4th birthday party.

Jay stops by the bar to grab a few things, looking a pale but cheerful enough. "Hey Guppy, what are you guys up too?"

"Hey Jay. We had sports day today." Guppy says. "Coral got a medal for being a good sport because she came last in the races."

"Look!" Coral holds it up.

"Congrats Coral. That's awesome!" Jay loves kids and is more than happy to support her. "Being a good sport is every important."

"Yeah, it was well deserved, because she would have come second to last in one had she not stopped to help another kid up who fell." Guppy says.

Jay smiles brightly and holds his hand out to Coral. "You, mist, should be very, very proud indeed. Helping people who need help is the job of a hero and you did it."

Coral isn't sure what to do with the hand, so she shakes it and then gives it a high five.

"I helped." she says proudly. "I'm the littlest in my class."

Jay can do high-fives. "Can I tell you a secret? I was the littlest in my class too. But I grew up. And now look at me." He makes a playful show of flexing his muscles.

Coral giggles.

"So the littlest person gets the biggest?" she asks.

"Not quite." Guppy says. "But I'm sure you'll catch up eventually. Hopefully before your little sister overtakes."

"Sometimes. If you eat your veggies and play lots of sports, you'll grow up big and strong. And even if you're not the biggest, you can still be the brightest and the bravest."

"Fry is brighterer than me." Coral says, chewing her fingers.

"Now Coral, you and Fry are good at different things." Guppy says. "And he's older than you, so it's not a competition."

"Sometimes having a big brother like that can be a good thing. My big brother was faster and stronger than me. I trained very hard because I wanted to be better than him. I don't know if I am now, I haven't seen him in a long time but it have me a reason to work hard." Jay and Dick took sibling rivalry to a whole new level.

"Why don't you see him?" Coral asks. "Is he in his room?"

Jay smiles sadly. "My brother and I live a long way away from each other." It doesn't help that his brother thinks he's dead.

"Did he go to broading school?" Coral asks.

"Nope, he's all grown up and has a job in a different city to me. I travel lots with my job so I don't see him much."

"Well when you grow up I expect you and Fry and Brooke will go in different directions." Guppy says.

Well, he's not sure Fry will want to leave home, but he hopes he will eventually.

"When will that be?" Coral asks.

"Oh, many years yet, you're still little." Guppy says.

"When you're ready, kiddo. When you know what you want to do because you can do anything you want to. Fly planes, fix motorcycles, or help people like your dad does."

Coral nods seriously ~~and her mun gets around to updating her year out of date icons~~.

"I could be a vet." she says.

"A vet is a good job, you can help animals like Mummy."

"Being a vet takes strength, intelligence and compassion. And I bet you'll be great at it."

"Or I could grow flowers or I could be an ice cream lady." Coral says.

"You can be anything you want to be." Guppy says, giving her a squeeze. "So long as it's legal and you finish school. Vet's better paid than those two though."

"Can I be a dinosaur?" Coral asks.

"Maybe for Cubefall, not for a career."

Jay laughs warmly, ducking his head. "I was a hawk during Cubefall. It was an amazing experience but I like having my thumbs." He wiggles said thumbs at Coral.
