Minx storms into the bar, yelling over her shoulder as she comes. “You crashed her, X! You! The Star did exactly what she’s designed to do. It’s not my fault you clipped the rail and DNF’d!”
She slams the door and then realises where she is. With an exhausted sigh, she heads to the couch by the fire and collapses into it. She’s dressed very differently than last time she arrived – all practical black and flat shoes with a small handgun clipped to her hip.
Bother her; she’d be glad of the distraction.

"Just without the badge and gun." Both would have been limiting.

"I only carry either when I'm working with my team. The rest of the time I'm undercover as Miranda."

She frowns. "The more I work as Minx, the less I like who I was as Miranda."

"And I get finding something better. My TV days were possibly not unlike your modeling days." He takes a seat.

She feels different around him now, a little more comfortable now that he knows the other side of who she is. "Is there... anything you want to know about me? Clear the air kind of thing?"

"Do you know about the dead people here?"
Might as well dive right in.

"When I got here, it was after my death from lung cancer."

"But as I said, it gets more complicated." His life, he knows, hasn't been simple in a long time.

"So more complicated that this also being the afterlife for you, and presumably others?"
no subject
"My afterlife, though, is a bit more complicated than most. I think."
