There are many throw pillows on the couch near the TV. One of those throwpillows is white and soft and fuzzy, and is lazily watching Mythbusters.
Apparently there is the idea one can tenderize a sub-par steak with high explosives. Or by tumbling it in a dryer with ball bearings. Or by shooting it out of a cannon into a steel plate.

"I wouldn't do that to the food," he says, turning his head to the occupant of the couch.
"Hello, Yrael!"

"It is an odd show, full of strange notions, but I am fond of it. Nikola and I used to watch it from time to time."

Pause.
"However, I could recommend two dozen perfectly delicious recipes off the back of my hand that they could make from that meat without the use of weapon grade explosives."

As evidenced by the idea on the screen, after an informational animation explaining about the relationship between tenderness and the connections between muscle fibers and connective tissue, of rigging a vacuum-packed, kevlar-wrapped steak into thirty foot-long air cannon to be shot into a catcher's mitt-like basket of solid steel.

Or prove that they advised against it before some idiot went out and tried it at home.
"As silly as it can be, the show is a good introduction for one who approaches regular physics as one might approach an unfamiliar culture."

The cat purrs, murmuring drowsily, "Mmmwrrrrrr, a little to the left?"
no subject
"So, did we go running together last week?"
no subject
That's niiiice. Minx may have a cat-shaped thing melting into a boneless puddle of happy cat-shaped thing on her lap.

"How have you been? Milliways still trrrrrreating you well?"
Such good scritches!

"And there was a beach party. That was amazing. I needed to blow off some steam."
no subject
"I particularly enjoy the music, upon those occasions," replies the cat, contentedly. "And the food. And the sun. Specifically the 'party' part of Milliways' Lake Parties."
Not so much with the swimming, this cat.

"I spent much of the party conning food from unsuspecting guests."
