It's the first night after the rooftop in Dallas.
It's strange. He had not fully realized how much of a presence his Maker was within him till now. When the presence is gone.
He opens a door to step outside, to find a quiet place somewhere where he can call Pam and then four things happen, almost at once.
His phone looses its signal.
He realizes that he is in Milliways, not outside the hotel.
He knows, without any chance of error that Pam is here. And that she is angry. Worried. Trapped.Upset.
He disappears from the door in a blur of motion, running at vampire speed, down to the cells.
