Evil Karaoke anyone?
It's been a long time since Helena played the piano. Not since she came to Milliways, certainly. Possibly not since she moved to Gotham. Maybe not even since school.
She's not sure what draws her to sit at the piano tonight, and start gently tapping the ivories. To start with she's just improvising, faltering slightly as she gets to grips once again with the key spacing, stretching her fingers; but there is sheet music set up already on the stand and it's not long before she's following along to the notes on the page.
She's even less sure what makes her start singing, though the narration knows that it is the presence of the evil karaoke machine which tonight is situated only a few feet from the piano. Be careful if you get too close: the field of suseptability around the karaoke machine is particularly wide tonight.
[OOC: the piece Helena is playing and singing along to is called Colorblind. Originally by Counting Crows, the version linked in the text is sung by Natalie Walker.]

The Milliways translation field is having a hard time making up its mind as to whether he's singing about growing old with a coat or a dear friend.

"Annie are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?"
...
She clamps her hand over her mouth. She... hadn't intended to do anyore singing.

Bossuet coughs and looks perturbed. He doesn't even know that song. "Ah...I was going to say, I'm quite all right. But I'm not an Annie."
He must be right at the edge of the karaoke field.

"Yeah. Um... Sorry about that. No idea where that cam from..."

He takes a sip from the glass of wine in his hand, shaking his head. "I apologize for my failures as to key, then."

Fucking Milliways.
"Just as long as you promise not to tell anyone I was singing, you're forgiven..."
She's not not entirely joking.

"In this damn place, who the hell knows."
The Evil Karaoke Machine sits silently, oninously, bidding its time until it will strike again...

"Seeing if anyone else falls victim would be fun if I wasn't so terrified it would happen to me again..."
