At some point, Mirai wanders down to the bar with some notes in hand.
Thank you for your wonderful gifts. I hope you have a pleasant holiday season and continue to think of me as your friend in the coming year.
The letters are a little shaky in the second sentence, as if the words are foreign to her.
I will work hard to be worthy of your friendship.
She almost feels like that's the sort of thing that goes in a resume. Do friendships have resumes? Ah well. She does mean it. Might as well say it.
