Outside, afternoon
Just outside the bar proper, there is a tall dark-haired Goth, clad in a Tyrian purple cloak and armed with a long-shafted battle axe, watching over a fiery-haired tiny goth in a fox hoodie and big warm moon boots, careening around in the snow and squealing happily.
Occasionally, little Egil loses his mittens, and Teja picks them up and catches the child to re-apply them.
There may be a snowman*, and a very gentle snowball fight, later.
* Bonhomme de neige, in French -- Teja has been reading up on the original language of the 1832 contingent, and was reminded that snowmen are a thing children have always loved, so Egil shall have one.

Bonnie, who has been putting another box of safety equipment in the Forge, is watching this scene from a nearby bench.

"Noh!" he declares.

He huddles his arms tight around himself and trundles over to the pair, small and compact and red-nosed.

"I am sorry," he says, gravely, to the newcomer.

He laughs out loud, delighted: surely these people, so foreign in their clothing, aren't speaking French, and yet he can understand them. Just as Bahorel said.

Of course, Egil finds the cannon fascinating.

The cannons are never used these days, but nobody's bothered to remove them. Norrington pauses in what he's doing with the ropes, seeing the little boy - then disappears below decks for a few minutes. He has some souvenirs that would make fine gifts, and he likes children.
Not long after, he's rowing up. "Hello there!"
no subject
"Hello!" he calls. "Hello, hello, hello!"

Whatever he's brought is concealed in a pocket, as he vaults out of the boat and drags it up onto the beach.
"And who might you be?"

But today, here she is, bundled into a long skirt--with leggings--and a long-sleeved shirt under a buttoned peacoat and scarf. (Really, basically any time for her there are a lot of layers, but a lot fewer filmy thin ones in winter. She is far more suited to dry, sandy, arid places than pseudo-Scotland. Far more.) She smiles at Egil having lost his mittens, and with her gloved hands picks them up with a smile. "Here," she offers to Teja, holding them out.
no subject
"Egil, come over, your mittens!"
Egil stays where he is. "Not cold!"

Teja is watching very carefully; Egil's safety is both important and potentially precarious, and ravens are definitely birds that feature largely in the myths of their people.

"That is a helpful bird," Teja says. "Say thank you."
"Thankyou, birb!" Egil declares.

He turns his head from side to side before flapping off. Only to return a few moments later with a sprig of holly to decorate the snowman's hat.
